Short Review: I've never had my haircut by somebody who pays as much attention to detail and knows…read morehair as much as Vito at Vanity Salon. Highly recommended. Long Review: I've been to a number of different hair salons across the Niagara Region looking for somebody who has the skill to work with my rather difficult head of hair. One time, I was asked to be a hair model and be cut by 'pro's from new york' at a different big name Salon in the region only to end up with a haircut that looked bad and didn't suit me at all. Disenchanted with salons, I gave up for a long time and just went to regular barber shops to get standard issue, boring haircuts. I was told by a number of people to see Vito at his newly opened salon in Thorold called Vanity and today, I went in and was blown away at the incredible attention to detail, professionalism, eye for trends and welcoming atmosphere of Vito and the rest of the staff at Vanity Salon. They've won me over as a customer and I will definitely recommend Vanity to all of my friends.

Having gone to a bunch of places in both Toronto and St. Catharines (Pen Centre salons, ugh), I am so happy to finally have found Storm. I've come six times and had my hair cut by Dan, Katrina, Hannah, and Drake. I would say my favourite would be Katrina even though they all did very well. She takes the time to teach you how to style your hair and recommended products which I thought worked very well actually (and I'm usually pretty skeptical when people try to sell me things). It is definitely more expensive than what I usually pay for a haircut, but I haven't been so happy with how my hair looked before, so it is money well spent, and I will come back! Parking is free and easy. They're pretty busy so I recommend making an appointment, which can be done online too.

He was quite professional straight to the point and realistically told me what color hair I could achieve, l have black hair. He did a wonderful job saving my hair and getting it to the color I really love. He also gave me great suggestions on Wella hair products that I should use to help restore the damage to my hair. Thanks again Tim. I'll be sure to come visit you next time I'm there.

I had a bad experience with bleaching before I went to him and he used gentle products and eased me into the colour I wanted, silver! With him I have been platinum blonde, basically white, and silver. My silver colour held so well and I kept it for years. After my roots had grown out so long during quarantining this year, I decided to embrace my natural stawberry/dirty blonde colour for a while. The colour match Tim did was so accurate I couldn't tell my roots from the dyed hair. Also, Tim is just a great person to be around and to talk to, joke around with, or even have a heart to heart. He's very honest and I think that is a very important quality in someone your trusting you hair with!

Well that initial visit sold me. The lady who cut my hair was attentive, professional and cared about giving me the exact style of cut I wanted. I have been a loyal patron for the past 6 years. She's been trained the old world way by an Italian barber has 25+ years experience and she has a good eye for detail. It's more expensive than places like first choice, but I belief you get what you pay for. The shop itself is not pretentious but has a classic, clean, laid back kind of feel. You just can't beat old fashioned, personalized service.

Fadi curled my hair (I didn't ask for it to be curled) so I couldn't see how bad the cut was properly till I got home and straightened my hair. He also did not show me the back of the hair so I didn't realize how it looked until I got home and straightened it. I asked for them to fix it and they got Khatool to fix it. She was rude and snotty to me. The bangs look better but again the cut is still uneven and choppy with bad layers. From all the bad reviews I can tell that it's not just me!! Avoid this salon and also avoid L'Attitudes because I had a bad haircut there too and they are owned by the same people. Look at the photos I added yourself and judge whether it looks worth $65 plus tax or whether you'd be asking for your money back. They said the reason it looks like that is because there are layers but I've gotten layers before and they always looked natural and even not like this. They kept saying my hair looks fine and everything not listening to me at all.
