My partner was here for work, and I tagged along for some solo exploring during the day and couples' nights out. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining hall with a solid English breakfast selection, including haggis and blood sausage. There were also juices, a smoothie, porridge, and a menu with additional items from the kitchen, some included, some with an extra charge.
King Room: The room wasn't huge, but they made good use of the space. I wouldn't say I loved the TV stand being right at the foot of the bed, but other than that, there was just enough room to open my luggage comfortably. The bathroom was a decent size. AC, robes, ironing board, desk, wardrobe and mini fridge, all used and appreciated. Only downside: the room smelled strongly of mothballs.
Overall Service: Check-in was at 3PM, but we arrived early and the staff gladly stored our bags so we could grab lunch and explore. Everyone we encountered, from front desk to breakfast staff, was extremely kind, professional, and welcoming. They hold themselves to a world-class standard of service, and it truly came across in every interaction. And yes, you do get a warm, baked cookie at check-in. Always a nice touch.
