When I got…read moremy Yorkie home, I found a large patch of missing hair on his back with dried blood in the area. My husband called the next day to let them know. Instead of acknowledging that the injury may have occurred during grooming, we were told it was likely already there or that it could have been a skin bump. Our dog had just recently received a clean bill of health from his veterinarian. The owner did offer a refund, but we declined. We weren't looking for money--we wanted honesty and accountability. Accidents can happen, but they should be disclosed. Had they simply informed us when we picked him up and apologized, we would have respected their professionalism. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency is why they lost us as customers. I recommend thoroughly checking your pet before leaving the salon and taking photos before drop-off for your own records.

The office staff is very friendly and on top of their game booking timely appointments, filling medication refills, and consulting one of the Vets on patient questions and getting back with their customers quickly. Their efficiency reduces wait times for nervous pets. The Vets and their assistants are very personable and wonderful with their furry patients. They take time to ask and answer questions about the animal's health, care, and behavior. Treatment is as noninvasive as possible. I have been through the hardest of all times at this facility when it came time to let our 16yr old American Eskimo Dog, Charlie go. The staff made a heartbreaking scenario much less painful, both for me and for Charlie by putting us in a quiet back room. They encouraged me to sit on the floor with Charlie on my lap for a time, so I could say goodbye. When I was ready, they came in and administered the drug to Charlie right there on the floor with us, which kept Charlie calm. The whole experience could not have been any better. Charlie's remains were treated with respect and I received his ashes in a lovely wooden box accompanied by a small clipping of his fur and his paw prints. This was hard to share, but its important for folks to know how the hospital staff at Cornerstone treats you and your precious pet at the most difficult time in their lives.

They've been there for us to care and board our dogs, including Elsa, the crazy boxer mix who later escaped under our own fence one day and a kind soul brought her to Pet Care Associates to see if she was chipped. Ashley recognized, Elsa on site and called us immediately. They've been there for us from young kittens to the rainbow bridge, especially when my husband lost his longtime best friend, Bruce. Dr. Cox was there to assure me that I could give Paddington shots of insulin and that he could still live a good life with diabetes. Then Dr. Cox showed me how to give Nemo, our orange fluff bucket long hair rescue kitten a hygiene cut with our own clippers to keep him healthy and avoid the cost and stress of monthly visits. They truly, truly care about your furbabies and about what your furbabies mean to your family. You pay for quality care and I made the ridiculous mistake two years ago of using a "free visit" coupon for Banfield. We became hostage to a 12 month plan when they wanted $465 for two cats to get their wellness checks AND in the visit they doubly vaccinated the kitten with one vaccine he didn't need and missed one he did. Then seven months later even when we lost our 3 yr old cat Pete after emergency care elsewhere. When I called to let Banfield know, no one even offered condolences. I was merely told matter of factly to call a 1 800 where an automated attendant recorded his death then reminded me that we would still be billed for FIVE more months. We made the huge mistake of trying to be more economical when we ended up paying so much more for such less care. We will be at Pet Associates forever and we let others know why they should be there, too. Thank you Ashley, Lauren, Victoria and Dr. Cox.
