You have to schedule a phone call on a set date and time. After I scheduled the phone meeting, I received one email confirming my time and a second email stating that there is a wait list for their services and that I would have to put my name on a waitlist (which I did) but they couldn't tell me when a chef would be available. Yesterday at 10:40a was my schedule time to receive the phone call and guess what.....no one ever called me. I called the only phone number on their website and left a message at 11:30 yesterday but have yet to receive a call back. This is sooo lame. I'm so disappointed that my husband already paid them a bunch of money because there are probably hundreds of personal chefs in Dallas who would be thrilled to come in and cook for me. I would NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

I then logged on to their website chat, where I happened to be paired with Dee. She continued to defensively and unprofessionally say she wasn't abrupt and can send me a recording of the call for reference - who does that? I asked if I could connect with someone else to ask my questions and was never transferred which is unfortunate. I wanted to use the service and see if there was any flexibility in the fee for non-use weeks but instead this behavior --- especially through the chat -- cost them my business.

Since then: * I followed up multiple times * Provided alternate payment info when requested * Left a couple of voicemails * Received zero response * Still no refund The communication completely stopped once payment details were provided. That's unacceptable. Mistakes happen. Weather changes plans. I was understanding. But promising a refund and then ghosting a customer is not professional and not how a reputable business operates. I hope this gets resolved, but at this point I feel obligated to warn others. **1/23/2026, I was again told yesterday the refund would be sent, but it has still not been received.** ***2/4/2026, Still no refund. He previously mentioned it was slow and was waiting on another booking to pay me. He mentioned it wasn't his fault that we didn't use the service we paid for. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.

I came by for lunch and almost all of the seats were filled up with locals of all walks of life. Local school admins, cowboys, retirees, contractors and and everything in-between. Lots of people were having their chicken fried steak that day. I went with the club sandwich was I was told is very popular with their homemade potato salad and side salad. The side salad was average but their dressing which I think is home made was pretty good. Next I received my club sandwich and it was big enough to eat half there and save the rest for later. The main reason for his is the AWESOME homemade potato salad. Which I have to say is the best potato salad I have ever had. Now don't get me wrong the club sandwich was great, but I could not help but to finish up the potato salad before I left.
