They sent us the rough draft and we wanted certain things to be written in our will and they refused. We are paying over $1200 and we have a right to have written what we want. I have made multiple phone calls and sent multiple emails and Ronald Kilmartin Jr. never answers them. If he does answer, very abrupt on the phone and in a hurry. Sometimes, it takes them 3 weeks to respond which is not a way to conduct business. We only used them as they were local and did senior law. We did use them in the past, and they were more prompt in responding. If you need wills or other legal matters to attend to, use someone else as they are not responsible. Now, we have to go find another lawyer to finish what they started and pay extra fees which is unfair to us because as seniors, money is tight for us.

I wouldn't feel ripped off if it all seemed necessary, but he would send important messages to other lawyers on Saturday nights, which I thought was counterproductive, and he also sent us useless shorthand notes of court appearances that we attended, just so he could bill us. My biggest gripe though is that he never seemed to treat our case as a priority - wasting our time and money with numerous emails trying to avoid appearing in court in person. NB: The lawyer has responded. "This person" is not simply sounding off, and the arrogance of this lawyer was one of the reasons he was off-putting to begin with and now even more so. I question the ethics of any lawyer charging $675 an hour who thinks his client has no case. He bills in minimum 10-minute increments, so his needless emails quickly add up - be warned. And I, in fact, am not aggrieved because the case has been resolved favorably. I just want to inform others of my experience. People who engage lawyers on family court matters are often desperate and perhaps he takes advantage of that. Plus, his law office kept misspelling our names in court documents, so there you go.
