This my 1st time using H&R Block, basically because it advertised an affordable price and assurances. Both proved to be fraudulent and I probably would have come out better preparing my taxes myself. 1st the $89 advertised is a complete scam to get you in the door, but I guess I will blame myself for not paying attention to the fine, fine, fine print. My tax return came to well over $200. Which is less than my previous tax preparation company but I also received nearly $3000 less than I have ever received in two decades. 2nd it has been well over two months and when I inquired about my State Refund, since I received my Federal Refund well over a month ago I was told to contact the State on my own behalf. So basically all that protection and assurances they advertise mean nothing because when I am concerned I was told that's between Me and Uncle Sam. So in the end I should have paid what turned out to be the extra $100 and had my taxes prepared by my usual tax preparer and possibly I would have gotten a larger refund as I have for nearly two decades and the measly refund still hasn't arrived and I have to go advocate for myself.
