Wonderful breeder , knowledgeable, super kind , gorgeous kittens four paws way way way up

My cat's teeth are falling out, alongside her poor gut health. I've never had issues with adopted strays like this.

This breeder is selling cats with upper respiratory infections, will not allow people to see where they are kept, Covid or not, and has sold some unknowing pet owners sick cats multiple times. There are over 14 million cats born in the US daily. 1 cat born every 7 seconds. Adopt, do not shop. And if you insist on doing so, NOT THIS EXCUSE FOR AN ETHICAL CLEAN BREEDER. Only offers to replace the sick kitten, nothing more. Disgraceful. read more

We purchased a 7-month-old, Blue Point/Bi-Color show-quality Ragdoll (significantly more $) from this breeder in June 2018. She is the most beautiful cat we have ever seen. We "love her 3,000." This made it very, very hard for my wife and I to hear around 8/1/19 that our 1+ year-old cat not only has an umbilical hernia, but a pre-hernia-surgery blood test revealed that she has a congenital, ultra-rare blood disorder called Factor XII. Our cat's blood -- which the breeder claimed again and again at time of purchase was, "Extraordinary show quality from the finest blood lines" ironically doesn't clot normally. It takes more time for our cat's blood to coagulate which puts her at risk of complications if she ever needs to get surgery -- which she does. It is estimated that 2% of cats in the US have Factor XII (also called Hageman deficiency.) You're reading this review because you want a cat right? Take a second and let that data sink in: 2% of cats in the US, and our cat came from this breeder. Even more alarming is AFTER receiving a non-refundable deposit from us and BEFORE we could pick the cat up this breeder insisted the cat be spayed; but the vet who did the procedure (I spoke to him directly) did no pre-surgery test for compatibility with anesthesia which, based on the pre-hernia-surgery test our vet conducted, would have revealed the cat had Factor XII. We would have ended the purchase right then and there and, sadly, would have walked away even if it meant saying goodbye to the kitten we adored and losing a substantial deposit. After we found out that our cat had Factor XII, we spent the extra money for a second opinion from a different vet who requested a new blood test through a respectable "you'd-know-it-if-i-said-it" university with ivy on its walls. Same result. Factor XII. As mentioned, Factor XII is congenital. Our cat inherited it. There is no cure for it. I have alerted this breeder that they should, ethically, get the mother and father tested for Factor XII. The names of both parents of our cat are documented. It'd be very easy to get the test done. The reply I got was "...this has never come up." and "I would get a second opinion." Well, we did get a second opinion. The test results indicate that one of the two -- either the mother or the father; not both -- have Factor XII. Buyer beware. This review is meant to help future pet owners make informed decisions, mitigate potential costs/complications and, frankly, avoid heartbreak. I'm sad for us, but it's the cat that stands to suffer the most. We're happy we can share this insight with others and truly hope it helps people like us. read more

Horrible people! Great cats! They come across as high class but they are sick. Had out first one die and legit bought another from them which they should of given for free stupid me tried to make my GF happy but now we got another sick cat that cost us more then the other with the 500$ discount they gave us seriously two cats both breathing issues! They lie, they ignore! They are sales people and their house/ cattery smells like shit! Probably have their cats on top of eachother and one gets sick they all share it! We have an open case as of right now and these people aren't on any of those fancy cat titles you see on the contract! They raise unhealthy cats! I'm not the first this has happen too! Disney was 2300$!!! The new one was 3400!!! Dumbass for paying but they breeched so much of their contract it's not funny!!! They aren't genetically tested they never gave us a free cat after this one died! They will take your $$ read more

***DO NOT BUY*** My wife and her mother purchased two show quality rag dolls in 2017 from Carol. They both had kinked tails which I found off but not a big deal. One of the rag dolls (both were beautiful) died within 2 years of purchase and always seemed off. My wife's cat had Stomach issues from the time we received him which cost us Thousands of dollars in veterinarian bills. The cat also peed and pooped around our house since we got him. He then also died when he was five years old which crushed my wife and kids. Carol NEVER answered any of our emails on ANY of our concerns. She is NOT a quality breeder, probably has known health disorders in her line of cats but continues to sell high priced rag dolls. Yes they are beautiful with great dispositions as with most rag dolls. I don't post reviews very often but just don't want anyone else to experience the problems, costs, and premature losses that we faced. Buyer Beware. read more

Disturbing and feels fraudulent I called to see if they had kittens and was told yes, they had three but they would surely all 'go very fast'--I agreed to put a 500 deposit down as I wanted to surprise my two little ones for Christmas as they've had a tough year (like all of us...). I filled out a 20 page (not exaggerating--my husband and I were laughing) application--questions included how I react during 'conflict'? The application was like adopting a human child so I was sure this place must be legitimate more importantly trustworthy. Trying to get in touch with this woman for information-- even a picture took chasing her around and around for weeks. Calls and texts just ignored. Unsettling and confusing. She'd randomly text me back (when I sounded more urgent in my messages) and say "busy day-I'll send photos when I Can." And then "I'll send photos when the sun is setting so they really show their beauty"--when I finally saw the photos, the cats looked sick and I became more unsettled--I was ready to adopt the healthiest looking one and take her to the vet immediately. My kids were excited and I had given this woman 500 dollars. Again chasing her around about when I could come from Boston and pick up the kitten in CT. Could not get an answer--simply ignored. It was insanity--she wasn't getting back to me. My husband lost his job and she finally agreed to return the deposit (after offering me what she knew was a sick cat with 'gastro problems' at a discounted price of 2k...). She has lied and pretended to have issues returning the money...and never returned. I paid $500 to chase someone around...chased her around for every single part of the 'process' and in the end have no kitten/cat and am out 500 that we really need--and that she promised to return. I gave up months ago and just thought to write this so others can be aware. Do not let their website and lengthy applications make you believe this is anyone who cares or anyone you should even consider adopting a cat from. read more

Very disappointing experience. Definitely a wasted 2 hr trip. I was looking for a male seal pointed or seal mitted kitten, pet quality. I said this via email and phone. Why was I shown everything but that? I would have appreciated honesty from the breeder at the beginning of our communication, let me know you don't have what I'm looking for. More details: I had an appointment scheduled to spend time with the breeder and the kittens one-on-one from 7pm-8pm Jan 11. When I arrived for my appointment (I traveled from NYC), the breeder had another couple in her living room. The couple was still there when I left at 7:50ish, so I didn't get my 1-1 time. Very unprofessional! The breeder also tried to sell me a show quality 6 month old cat that, per the breeder, someone paid $500 deposit for and never returned for the cat. I was prepared to pay for a pet quality kitten (younger than 6 months old). The breeder asked for significantly more money for this 6 month old cat. I refused it and left. I definitely feel that the breeder lured me to her house under false pretenses and tried to charge me more than the price I agreed to for a cat I didn't want. read more

I am surprised to be reading some of the other reviews here because after I've come to know Carole over the course of several months, I can honestly say that I doubt I will ever meet any breeder that genuinely loves and cares for all her cats and kittens than Carole and Treadwell. We've gotten our beautiful girl during this tumultuous year, and we are over the moon happy and in love with her. She has all the qualities of a well cared for kitten, healthy, beautiful, extremely loving, playful, affectionate without being too needy, came to us fully litter trained, and has just a well rounded personality all around. You could tell she spends a fortune on raising them to be as healthy, happy, and beautiful as they are, from the quality of the food, litters, and supplements she provided them. Our kitten came spayed and microchipped as well as all her shots and deworming. The price that we paid to adopt her was justified. The pick up process was so pleasant - we were introduced to many of their champion ragdolls, all of them gorgeous as well as sweet natured. You could tell Carole was emotional saying goodbye to our kitten which only proved how much love she loves them. We got a huge bag of goodies to take with us, all from food to toys, to even a bed. We are so happy we've met them and hope to have another one to add at some point! read more

I have 2 beautiful Ragdolls from AngellCats. Carole L. is the most responsible, loving, caring breeder. The information she has posted about her TICA award winning cats IS TRUE. I know because one of the cats that I own is a Grand Champion in TICA. She and her husband hand raise all the kittens. She does not let kittens go to their new homes until they are well-weaned. My two cats are beautiful and have a true Ragdoll personality, laid-back and sweet. AngellCats website is very informative. Carole was quick to respond to any of my questions. Wendy S. read more
