My pants were amazing, the shirt was good if not a little tight around the arms, they never measured my arms(apparently girls can't have muscles) but it fitted good. Due to a family death, I couldn't make one fitting. So was mailed the waistcoat 3 weeks before my wedding, it was too big. Sent photos to be told it'd 'flatten out after a pressing'. I pushed to get the alterations I wanted. It came back fitting much better but they took in the sides not just the darts I asked for, making it a bit tight over the hips. Also no pockets. I couldn't unpick them. This was super frustrating as I specifically asked for a pocket watch pocket. I was told 'all of our pockets open' yet when I took it to a local tailor he couldn't find any pocket and had to put in a small pocket for me. I also never got the embroidery I asked for of both of our initials and the date, not on my waistcoat inner collar or shirt. When I mentioned this, it was never responded to. I feel as soon as I paid my last payment (just before my waistcoat was posted out to me) they dropped me like I was too much trouble. I would of thought 7 months would be plenty of time, but 5 days out and it's not what I paid for. So dissapointed as I paid over $2000, I will never use or recommend these people to anyone ever. It seems all the men are happy they just can't cope with women's bodies, no matter what they tell you.

I'd passed by this shop en route to other tasks on a few occasions in the past year, saying to myself 'I need to go there.' It immediately stood out to me as a location for quality menswear based on one thing: the shoes in the window. I fell in love with a shoe company called Loake while living in the UK, which holds a royal warrant as suppliers of footwear to the UK Royal Family. I own three pairs of the Loake 1880 line, and I've never known finer shoes in my life. Seeing this at Rodger Bartholomew was a sign of a business that shares a similar interest in quality to mine. I finally stopped in on my birthday, seeking a lightweight blazer to wear for work or play. As I walked in I was immediately greeted by Peter, who asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he immediately pulled a jacket from the rack and handed it to me. I've never not (yes, double negative for effect here) been asked my size, which brings us to to my Casino Royale moment: the jacket fit . Within two minutes of seeing me for the first time, Peter pulled the a jacket fit off the rack. That's a skill right there, and another sign of the level of quality and service Rodger Bartholomew offers. Once I put the jacket on, Peter talked me through the tweaks he'd like their master tailor to make to the jacket so it would fit me perfectly. I didn't buy the first jacket Peter presented to me, preferring another with more of a pattern that was a perfect fit. I'm thinking about going back for that first jacket again. The other cool thing is I had Peter's full attention for the entire time I was in the store. Other customers came in, but Peter stayed with me, patiently assisting me in trying each of five jackets on again, and again. Pretty much the perfect shopping experience, and one I hope to have again.

A bit annoyed. So on Tuesday I ring them and ask what time they are closing as I explained that I was a bit annoyed at rushing and the store being unattended. The shop attendant tells me that they will be staying open until 4.30 today; but when I arrive at 4.15, well you can guess the rest. Why would I bother a third time?
