Not only is he an outstanding Neurosurgeon, but he is a caring and ethical man. Faced with a frightening spinal surgery, I saw Dr. Sheldon for another opinion. After the most thorough exam I ever had, Dr. Sheldon took the time to review my MRI and X-rays with me. He actually explained what I was looking at on the MRI. After discussing my concerns and fears about having the surgery, he persuaded me to try alternative treatments. He corroborated the serious nature of the surgery and the risks involved and told me honestly that I should not rush into this. I found that extremely impressive, since he operates for a living. I would recommend Dr. Sheldon to anyone with a spinal or brain issue. This is when you really need a doctor who is more interested in the welfare of their patient versus the financial reward.

Once we saw that NSPT was accepted by our insurance, we joined the waiting list and we were quickly accepted in for OT. The staff are so friendly and patient with children. Similarly, about 3 years ago when I first met Dr. Anderson, she diagnosed sleep apnea when it was missed for the 7 prior years by a neurologist and 2 previous primary care physicians. The feeling was all too familiar as I had sprained my ankle over a decade ago on NYE. For the first few days I figured I would be fine and tough it out on my own. I eventually came to Endeavor Health/NorthShore hospital in Skokie and visited their Ortho Immediate Care unit. I wanted to make sure it was just a sprain and nothing more. I arrived as a walk-in on a weeknight sans appointment and met with Dr. McCracken soon after checking in. He ordered an x-ray and within minutes after the x-ray, he was able to read and go over the results with me. Thankfully he found no visible breaks in bone, wrote up a doctors note for work and placed me on an ankle brace for a couple of weeks until my ankle fully healed. It's been a month since my injury and I'm happy to report that I am near to full function! I'm able to walk with no issue and have made progress. I've started to go back to the gym with the hopes that in a few weeks I'll be run ready. I'm so glad the Endeavor Health/NorthShore Immediate Care Ortho facility saw me during a weeknight. There's not many Ortho Immediate Care facilities I'm aware of and with this location less than 20 minutes away, this was super convenient.
