My brother lives in Incline Village and recommended Janice Schaaf to us. During our 6-month search for a condo in Incline Village, we experienced first-hand Janice's expertise, guidance, sound knowledge of the market, good business mind, her many connections in the industry, the respect she garners from her colleagues and, most importantly, her understanding of "our" needs and personalities. Janice even arranged to show us property via facetime when we could not fly up from LA to see units in person. She never applied pressure on us and was always responsive, thorough and patient. Janice has a pleasant demeanor, great communication and walked us through every step of the process, including inspection, escrow until we officially closed. We were extremely impressed and happy with Janice's superior services and would HIGHLY recommend Janice Schaaf to be your realtor! Magda and Glenn S.

We were looking for a place in a very specific complex, and Camille stayed in touch with us while keeping us informed about the overall market. She helped us understand pricing, price per square foot, and which units were actually priced appropriately. Ultimately, Camille had her ear to the ground and found us the perfect fit before it even came on the market. Throughout the escrow she kept us informed, arranged additional inspections, and even followed up with the HOA regarding exterior repairs before we were under contract. We appreciated her diligence, local knowledge, and the way she stayed on top of the details throughout the transaction.

Carrie, and her associate Stacey Berger, are an awesome realty team! We used Carrie to purchase our…read morefirst home back in 2015 when the local market was just starting to get really crazy. Being first time home buyers, we had no idea what to expect but Carrie was super helpful throughout the whole process and so patient! She put up with my incessant calling and questions and was always quick to move on scheduling a house tour--and if she wasn't available Stacey was--we always got into homes the day of or next morning of our request, which is absolutely key in a hot market! We probably looked at at least 15 homes and I was honestly near giving up because home buying is a seriously exhausting process in a sellers market, but Carrie thankfully insisted we continue on--because she knew prices were only continuing to rise--and showed us some homes in an awesome neighborhood I had never even seen before. And finally after 15 or some home tours we decided to put in our first ever offer on a house in that neighborhood ...and we got it! We absolutely have Carrie to thank for that because there were multiple competing offers and she helped us make our offer more competitive to the seller. We never felt pressured by our realtor(s) during the whole buying process and always felt the Kester-Berger team was on our side. Carrie really helped us figure out what we wanted since we really had no idea going in and I appreciated her straight forward attitude. She also knew a lot about home repairs/conditions which was invaluable when looking at homes. Carrie even helped us resolve some outstanding seller repair issues well after closing which was very appreciated! We will definitely be using them again if we ever decide to sell--although we absolutely love our home still so don't expect to be selling anytime soon!

She does whatever it takes to get the job done...after that, she will go the extra mile, or hundreds of miles to insure her client's needs are met and that they are more than 100% satisfied. I have hired a lot of people over the years and one thing that tells me more about a person than what may be on their resume, or what one of their "hand picked" references may tell me is how well mannered and respectful their children are. Erin's children are over achievers and are some of the most respectful, well mannered, and industrious children that I have ever seen. That tells me a great deal about the kind of person that I am dealing with. I mention both the professional and personal because, as a realtor, one must deal with people from all walks of life and truly understand their situation. In that regard, she outshines her competition at every juncture. She is solid both professionally and personally. There are some things that one cannot put an accurate value on. Real estate transactions can be complicated and most of the time there is a lot of money involved. You need someone that you can trust, has impeccable character, and is knowledgeable in their field. We have also been in constant contact with our agent. Long story short yesterday we agreed to make a full price offer on a property listed by Shirley Larkins. Our relator got back to us a little later and said the seller had received multiple full price offers and asked if we would be willing to amend our offer, we agreed and amended our offer above asking price. Our realtor once again reached out and said the seller would be accepting offers until 5pm on 3/30 for anyone to make their best and final offer and they would be making a decision by 10am on 3/31. We had not decided on a new offer yet as we were told we had basically a day to think about it. With all of that said this morning we were informed that the owners had accepted another offer, so we are SOL. Let's face it, there are too many people out there looking for a quick buck who leave you high and dry or with too many unanswered questions...not to mention lack of any type of communication. Then occasionally you find a diamond in the rough like Shirley Larkins. Having dealt with several agents in the past, I was prepared to expect mediocrity yet my wife and I were absolutely surprised within the few moments of first meeting Shirley. She not only is vivacious and full of positive energy but she listened to our needs/wants for our next house. We didn't spend a lot of time looking at any houses because she liked it, but found homes that WE liked. I believe we only actually looked at three homes before knowing we wanted one of them. Call it a bit of luck, happenstance or whatever, but we felt so comfortable working with Shirley and finding our new house that I have to believe we came together for a reason. Fantastic service and efficient office work allowed us to present an offer to the seller which was accepted quickly and we were on our way to owning our dream house. The rest is history as they say and we loved being in our home from day one. For Yelp purposes I would have "checked in" but I don't think my house qualifies as a destination...and certainly not four years ago since this occurred! However, after becoming involved with Yelp over the past year or so I felt obligated to at minimum share my story and give Shirley Larkins the highest recommendation possible. You will NOT be disappointed! OK...back to cleaning my humble abode! Cheers!
