Junior treats it like spa day. We typically book with Keegan when he's available, and the way she lights up when she sees him waiting for her is the sweetest thing. They do an amazing job every time -- she comes out clean, fresh, perfectly groomed, and strutting like she owns the place. The pricing is very reasonable, appointments are easy to schedule (just plan ahead during the holidays because they do book up), and the whole team is kind and professional. Honestly, the only thing I wish? That they offered boarding -- because Junior would absolutely treat it like a mini vacation. If there is any issues, it is discussed with me. I bring my dirty little monsters in and hours later, I take my primped and clean monsters out. We used to take our dog to another groomer in Surfside Beach but the last time we did, she was there over 8 hours and came home stressed and anxious, with an awful cut as well. Made an appointment knowing we would be in the area and the kids needed a hair cut as we just came down from up north. The salon was clean, the technician was attentive and sincere. The dogs were groomed exactly as I asked and done quickly. The price was surprisingly affordable at $50 each dog. They are a Wheaton terrier and a schnoodle., each weighing just over 40lbs. My groomer (Crystal) has an amazing talent not only creatively, but she is magical with handling of my precious pets. The prices are very reasonable and this is just a very well run business. What a find! Was in Surfside for a vacation, and after too many runs on the beach my golden doodle needed a bath. After reading the reviews for Angel Pets, I called and was able to get in right away. They did a great job bathing Jag and trimming his nails and at a great price - less than half of what I would have paid back home in New England. I have used Angel Pets twice to get a sanitary cut for my long haired cat. They managed to keep my very shy cat calm and get the job done. I brought a friend's dog in for a nail trim and they did a great job! The people are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are immaculate. I brought my big Maine Coone Kitty to be furminated. He normally gets very agitated, but was quite calm with Crystal. I've had his mats brushed out before, but never had the furminator. Crystal did a great job with him, trimmed his nails, etc. and when I picked him up he greeted me with a little bandana around his neck, looking all cute and smelling good too. This is a nice family run business and they could use some customers. They do a great job and their services are priced lower than other places in Pawleys. I couldn't be happier and will bring Lucky back again. I will bring my other cats to have their nails trimmed too because Crystal is very gentle and the animals seem to like her. read more

BEWARE!!! If I could give our experience here 0 stars I 100% would. What an awful experience for our poor Yorkie today at Angel Pets He went there for a BATH and came out shaved down to his skin!! They supposedly got him MIXED UP with another Yorkie who was there for grooming. First and foremost, to get pets "mixed up" is scary enough ---but to not CHECK to be sure BEFORE you shave a dog to the skin is unacceptable!! My poor little Yorkie! There are actually pink bare spots on his back and on his legs where it looks like they cut his skin. There is NO excuse for this from any professional groomer. I was in shock at pick up and tried to remain calm, but when my daughter (his owner) saw him at home, she is devastated and concerned for the closeness of the cut and his now very pink and tender skin. The cut, while way too short, is also VERY uneven. Was this really a "professional" groomer??? Yes, it's only hair and it will grow back ---but we are concerned with the scraped skin (pink spots/cut marks) caused by this horrible experience!! The manager offered us a better experience next time, but I assured her there DEFINITELY will be NO next time for our pets at this place. read more

Crystal is so terrific with my dogs! They are both rescues and both very suspicious of most people. Both make me nervous with all the barking if they don't know someone. Both of them love her and she is very patient with them. In addition, I'm just plain old and my balance is not terrific. She always helps me get them in and out of their carriers and the building.
