I don't complain about this, it is unlimited. I can come as many times a month as I choose. They are never on time. For a 35-minute service, I allow 2 hours. I blow my own hair. I have accepted this because of the price. At my last appointment, on 5/28 they were short-staffed. The location was dirty. There was hair all over the floor. The counter tops were dirty. The bathroom was overflowing with dirty paper towels. They were out of cotton discs and color remover for your skin. The schedule was 40 minutes behind. No one complained. They offered an option to reschedule to people. But today.... I was 15 minutes late. Yes, I was. AND I was told my appointment was cancelled. I drove 45 minutes from home as I had done 30 times and was turned away. I asked for the color to do it at home and was told NO. I have an unlimited membership for a year and 3 months. But NO. So, I don't recommend Madison Reed. The color fades fast, the location is filthy, and they are always late. Their customer service... well, not too good either.

Also, when I arrived they play the game I didn't have an appointment, even though I got a bunch of constant reminders via email and text.. I confirmed so many times but when I got there, I felt very uncomfortable and profiled. I went last week for a consult with Kevin, the owner. He was a pleasure. He listened to me and asked questions to make sure He and I understood what I wanted. ( Yes, I wasn't sure what I wanted, he clarified and explained and showed me colors) So, He began his magic at 10 am today. He asked me a very important question. Do I plan to do upkeep every 4 weeks. I told him no. I'm too busy. He then suggested bringing me back to my natural color for roots and painting on the highlights/lowlights. I've been to places in the area where I left with my hair damp or they just couldn't handle my hair at all (and it is not difficult). Well, I can say that I was very pleased with the results here. Jessica was sweet and accomodating. The salon is not fancy like some others around it. You don't need to dress up to go here. The only downside for me is that they are usualy not open on Sundays, Mondays. and Tuesdays. And early in the week is when I'm less busy.

After being a loyal customer to Oak & Strand, I can honestly say their customer service is…read moreabsolutely horrible. I scheduled an appointment online for June 13 and received confirmation. A few days later, I received an email that the appointment had been cancelled by the salon. On June 13, I received a text asking me to confirm. Confused, I called reception. I was told that the machine accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6, and that the staff had cancelled that one (because it was an error), and that's why I got a cancellation email. She said the machine makes mistakes often, and that I definitely wouldn't be charged for an appointment I was told was cancelled. An hour later, I received an angry voicemail from the manager, Sharon, saying that even though they had "accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6th" (her words verbatim) and then cancelled it, sending me with a cancellation email, I would be charged due to their cancellation policy. I called back and explained the situation to the receptionist, who agreed that it was ridiculous to charge me for a machine mistake. Of course I was aware of the cancellation policy, being a loyal customer. She said Sharon would call me back. She did not. I have disputed the charge. Petty and disappointing. Will definitely not be returning or recommending to others.
