My husband and I really wanted to see the tour and I found out online that there was a 6 pm tour. Online it failed to mention that it as only in Italian. Not a deal breaker for me, even though I don't speak 2 words of Italian. Low and behold the tour guide spoke English and thankfully did the entire tour in both English and Italian. There was so many interesting tid bits that it was a good thing that she spoke English for us. My husband and I were very impressed and we would recommend the tour for sure. Each place we went was so carefully planned and curated. We visited wineries, vineyards and a sheep farm that makes cheese. With his help, we were able to visit every place we wanted to see as well as some smaller unknown, hidden gems. They offered to deliver the bikes to our hotel, but we were driving around so decided to go to them. Petra and her husband Paolo could not have been more helpful, kind and patient with us. We decided on their suggestion to rent E-bikes, which were very fun and extended our range a great distance. They gave us written directions for two long rides, which were very clear and detailed. I was very impressed by the beautiful villa and its proximity to town and by the organization of the excursions. Our room was large with amazing views from the windows. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and there is a lovely shared patio outside overlooking a wonderful outdoor pool and the famous tuscan landscape. Our group dinners in the villa were prepared by a local chef on site and included wine brought personally by local wine makers. This trip is a great value and definitely one I would do again.

He is definitely highly recommended. He is an archaeologist as well so he had a lot of fascinating things to share with us. We actually ran into him on three separate occasions in Rome by chance and he was great to talk to each time. The Colosseum tour we took also included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (both even more fascinating than the Colosseum in my opinion). The Vatican tour was with Claudia and she was equally as knowledgeable and fun! She obviously knew the folks she needed to to get around in this massive complex without having to wait for anything. The "no-line" entry most tours get has lines here. She had the hookup to get us even past those lines. The tour starts through the Vatican Museum and it was very crowded at the time we were there. She fought to make room for us to get in front of the masses to get a close look at all the things she wanted us to see. It was great to see her genuinely care about our experience. Just about every other tour group we saw in this places had at least 30 people in them. Both tours we took with Real Rome Tours had less than 10. We all had an equal opportunity to experience these beautiful sights with great knowledgable folks who even stuck around to answer any questions we had. They also give great recommendations on restaurants and other places you need to see while in Rome. Gerard was also a pleasure dealing with while booking our tours. He is well organized and gave us a great alternative when we wanted to do the Colosseum Underground tour that wasn't available. It worked out perfectly for us. What made it especially memorable was how he connected with our kids--getting them excited about gelato was a fun touch that they still talk about! The golf cart was a lifesaver, making it easy to visit several sites that would have been impossible to reach with a 5-year-old and 2-year-old in tow. We even opted for the cart to pick us up from the hotel so it was seamless from beginning to end. The car seat for our youngest was clutch. Actually the ride was so soothing that our 2 year old fell asleep for part of the trip. Chris also introduced us to the Roman Orange Garden, a peaceful spot we'd never have found on our own. While many sites in Rome are walkable, this tour gave us the freedom to explore comfortably as a family, and we truly appreciated the balance of convenience and insight. If you are someone who love to do all the research ahead of time, then maybe this tour is too surface level for you. I would recommend a more targeted tour for the Coliseum or Vatican City. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend LivTours--and especially Chris--for families looking for an stress-free way to experience Rome.

We spent seconds / maybe minutes, looking at whole sections of art. She left almost no time to stand and look at things, everything was "ok let's keep going". (We paid 318€ for two people to tour - 60€ was the cost of the tickets, so 258€ was the cost of the tour guide.

Christian picked us up right by our hotel, we were staying at the Alta Duomo in Siena. He was friendly, knowledgable, and we felt very comfortable. The highlight of the trip was when Christian took us for a tour of the Altiero Winery. At this winery, we had paid extra to have a home-cooked lunch in the winery's owners home. It was the best meal we have ever tasted. We still talk about it to this day! Along with a few bottles of their delicious wine, we also were able to buys a couple liters of the freshly pressed olive oil. So delicious and almost a fluorescent green color due to the freshness of the olives. I STRONGLY recommend a tour by Christian. This was the highlight of our trip to Tuscany and we will never forget it! Price was about 450 euro for a private all day including lunch for the two of us. WELL worth the money spent. Make sure you do the lunch option as well.
