I do wish there were a few more inexpensive pots, even if they can't be as artsy. But overall, I really love this place and stop in when I can!

We recently moved into a retirement community and the landscaping around our cottage was pretty scraggly. We decided to wait a year to see how it looked in all seasons. Unimpressed after that time, and at the recommendation of neighbors, we contacted Eli for suggestions on low-maintenance native plants that are drought tolerant, deer resistant, low maintenance and pollinators. That's a long list, but Eli put together a proposal that met all of our requirements. Based on earlier experiences with other landscape architects, we wanted to avoid over-planting, but Eli anticipated that and his selection of both appropriate quantity, and size-specific cultivars will ensure that our new plantings won't overgrow their bed-spaces. When he arrived to begin work, we were delighted with the quality of the plants that were on his truck. All were robust, full, and shapely (especially a Weeping Redbud that is a focal point in our front yard). He and a single helper meticulously cleaned and prepared beds, amended soil (as appropriate) and carefully planted everything. They re-used the best specimens of our existing plants, effectively integrating everything into a consistent and coherent whole. In addition to his labor, Eli also provided a running commentary on plant selection and care. He took great pains to protect our new tree from potential deer damage (a major problem in our area) and provided recommendations on plant care through next year.
