Original wooden floors as they creak as you walk across the floor. Most rooms have carpet in bedrooms and tile in bathrooms so no creaking in most rooms. I was the first customer of day when I journeyed upon this tiny town of Post (CW Post the cereal guy) into Garza Hotel B&B. The kind lady at desk let me know all the rooms are open and each room key on side table .... I could go look to see how decor of each rooms' motif. Three rooms with King size beds downstairs and 8 + rooms up stairs have numerous size beds in vintage style rooms. Library that is rich with dark woods And books on shelf's. Located as you climb stairs before turning to second floor is a door that leads to library and a small dark wooden veranda that over looks dining and entrance of library. Large windows that look out to garden area of Hotel B&an. Very nostalgic !! Home cooked breakfast at 8:30-9:15am each morning. See photo. Bacon was delicious along with whole wheat bread toasted and scrambled eggs. Coffee or tea available along with juice, yogurt, fruit if the day or cereal. Room Prices are really very reasonable. The bedroom was cozy with B+ for cleanliness. The chandler in the bathroom is a fun touch! We enjoyed hanging out in the library and outside area. The breakfast was eggs, bacon and toast. All tasty with better than average coffee. The city smells a west Texas Town with smell of money all around. We love restored old buildings and hotels. This is one we are glad we stayed at.

They invite everyone out at night to meet, great, converse, and socialize with one another. They have wonderful cabins and RVs for rent, no two are the same. The come supplied with everything you need except food and clothing (bring your own). The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. It is a pet and kid friendly environment. This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the West Texas desert. With all the places I visit and stay, this is top of my list. I recommend a couple of nights stay and when I'm back in the area for a while, I will stay again. By the way, the cabin I rented was only $90 (rounded up) a night. Very well priced.

Alex was immediately welcoming and really worked with us offering an older 5th wheel trailer available that could accommodate the four of us which was more comfortable than I'd thought it would be. The service he offers goes above and beyond other BnB's I've been in. He provided a tour of the grounds, laundry service, nice well maintained yard to relax in, two large refrigerators that could be utilized by all guests located in the main house. The main house is also well cared for, offers rooms with private bathrooms and regular rooms with a shared baths. Alex, or Luis his assistant, immediately take care of any of our needs making our stay stress free and enjoyable. Cindy and Alex are wonderful hosts! I'd definitely recommend The Vera House BNB!

Saved us from 20-30 min drive to be with family where we could be in the same town. Unfortunately we didnt get to eat there as we were on the go with family so not much relax time during the day. Dis have 2 toddlers and even though its not very kid proof...they loved sleeping in the soft carpet floor and the wifi to keep them entertained when we were there. Very beautiful building inside and out. Definitely recommend anyone going through. No haunted feeling just an old beautiful historic building. Shower was AMAZING! The people running it was so freaking nice! They truly made us feel at home there! They had mini fridges and microwave in the hallway which helped on keeping water but the refrigeration part wasnt keeping anything cold which was a down side but okay because it was just water we kept in there.

I never could find the exact truck parking lot that was supposed to be on west side drove around and I could never locate it . If you drive a big truck 18 wheeler, you may get a parking place if you get there early in the day. Cafeteria staff was Exceptionally Excellent . I give 2 start due to cleaning issues of rooms . Distract Manager of the Armadillo was not very nice about my Service Dog . Tell me I could not have her with me . And implying my company didn't know I had her with me which they did . First words out of her mouth were you can't have that dog here and wanted me to know who she was . After the fact I checked in with my service dog at front office and showed all credentials on my dog. Typical power tripping Manager with a swollen head. After my boss called her and acknowledged that it was OK for me to have my dog with me through the company and an ugly me email she sent to my company. I heard nothing else about it. After she understood I wasn't hiding my dog from my company. The district manager proceeded to tell me that the dog must go with me that I couldn't leave her in the room which the dog goes everywhere with me. She finally excepted my dog was legit .

My husband and I always try to book hotels that have suites so we can both sleep comfortably. Usually, one of us ends up on an uncomfortable sofa or sofa bed. What a great layout and concept to have a bed in each section of the suite! We each had our own king size bed in our own space so we both could sleep comfortably. Will definitely be staying again on return!

Couple hours go by and I request another room, got my original (first room) after it had been personally cleaned by the manager. She was honestly great. Deserves to work at a better facility. Hit the workout room and the treadmill didn't work.
