I needed a new dentist closer to home and found this location/dentist that had good reviews…read more Unfortunately I cracked a tooth and needed to be seen more urgently than a regular cleaning. Getting in was not the quickest, compared to other dentists, but they fit me in when they could. After seeing the dentist initially, I did like them. However given the nature of my cracked tooth, I had to be sent to specialists and then return to dentist office several times. I was fine with this. Things took a turn though with my follow up appointments at the office. I should mention I had to take sick days to see the dentist due to their hours. If this were a one and done thing I would say that would be fine, but this was not the case. During one of the appointments I drove to their office only to get a call while I was in the parking lot, informing me the dentist was sick and they had to reschedule. Fine, okay... very last minute since I was already there, but I accepted the news. I rebooked the following week. The following week comes and I take the day off from work again, and the morning of the appointment they cancel my appointment again. So that would be now two days off.. on top of all the other days I had to take off for the initial visit and my specialist visits. I reschedule for the following week and take a day off again..... thankfully they didn't cancel this time but when I got to the appointment, they discovered that the crown that was ordered did not fit and they would have to reorder. As a result I wouldn't recommend this dentist to others. The fact that this was such a long process and I ran into a lot of cancelled appointments/ fitting issue, I wouldn't recommend this place to others.

He's very organized in terms of knowing when you're due for xrays, how much insurance will cover, how much services will cost, etc. and he is very detailed in all aspects of a procedure - I just had a cavity filled and he made sure my night guard would fit (granted I remembered to bring it along, they also cleaned it for free!) and that there would be space between teeth for flossing. At this point my husband and I both go to see him every 6 months even though we live in Indiana, and my parents both go to see him now too. You are in a good dentist's hands with Dr. Zomorrodi.

Dr. Ruoyu (Joy) Tung did an outstanding job, considering that my husband is not an easy patient to work with, has a small mouth and that the tooth was the last one on the upper right side and difficult to get to. The crown had come off because of decay underneath that went quite deep. It took her 3 hours to remove it (it came out in pieces) and we were there long after they usually close. There was no extra charge and the price was very reasonable. Today he has no pain to speak of and has not needed to take the pain pills. I would highly recommend CAP to anyone as excellent dental practice. The staff knows their stuff and is excellent and were very careful in checking his vitals and making sure he was OK thoughout the whole experience.

She always takes the time to explain every procedure, why it's being done, and answers all of my questions without making me feel rushed. Andrea and Liza are also incredibly kind and welcoming--they make every visit comfortable from the moment I walk in. I originally went in because years of grinding my teeth had started chipping them away, to the point where I actually broke one. Dr. Hamdan recommended trying Botox for my TMJ and grinding. I had never had Botox before, and it honestly wasn't something I was looking to do. But if it meant protecting my teeth, I was willing to give it a try. Two weeks later, I can confidently say my grinding has decreased by about 80%. I barely clench my jaw anymore, the constant pressure and soreness are gone, and it's made a huge difference in my day-to-day comfort. As a bonus, it even slimmed my jawline a bit! Between the Botox treatment and my new crown, I'm extremely happy with the results. I couldn't recommend Dr. Hamdan and her team enough

"Doctor" Lina Hamden completely BUTCHERED my tooth. I went in for a simple surface cavity filling…read moreand left with my tooth shaved flat and to a tiny point that cut my tongue up. She numbed me with novocaine and then kept asking "does that feel ok now." I had no idea what she was doing or what "ok" meant. I'm completely numb, how am I supposed to know that I'm biting on a filling? So she just kept shaving more and more of my tooth off. When I accused her of being rushed in an email I was told that she took her time. So I guess I will say that she very thoughtfully and methodically shaved the inside of my molar flat and to a tiny sharp point. For weeks until I could get into another dentist I chewed on one side and had headaches and jaw pain. I can't believe that my bite is never going to line up and again and my tooth will feel misshapen and deformed from now on. Now the right side of my jaw clicks because my teeth don't line up. I wake up every morning in shock because I can't believe someone would do this to me. On top of that, this "dentist" and the rest of the staff seem to have no idea what's going on. When I initially came in for a cleaning I asked for an out-of-pocket quote for a mouthguard and was told it was a little over $500. Also, I asked about making an appointment for both the cavity and to fix a loose filling, but was told to only do one at a time. When I get there for my filling appointment I was told that the appointment was for both, even though I only made the appointment for the cavity filling. I was also told by the receptionist that they hadn't heard back about the night guard. Then 10 minutes later the "dentist" tells me that insurance denied it and it was about $900. On top of that, when I told them what I was originally quoted for, they basically called me a liar saying they have no idea how I would even get that information. After she ruined my tooth, she did offer for me to come back and look at it, but if this person can't even complete a routine filling without ruining my tooth, I would have to be crazy to go back and let her cause more damage. I had to go to another dentist who was absolutely shocked at how horrible of a job she did. He did his best to smooth it out, but it's still jagged and catches my tongue. On top of that, they billed my insurance and billed me and then wouldn't even reply to my email when I told them they owed me a reimbursement.

Dr. Foxson is an expert and I was thrilled he had knowledge of my Sjogren's Syndrome. My husband had been going to Dr. Alwan for many years and encouraged me to leave my old dentist and try Alwan Dental Care. It was the best decision I ever made. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Alwan and hygienist Mary helped me save at least one tooth that I certainly would have lost. They are updated on the latest technology and practices. I was given state of the art preventive care that I had not experienced with any other dentists. Routine dental problems that I had struggled with in the past were resolved easily, painlessly and affordably. Dr. Alwan tackled a particularly complicated issue that I presented. Due to medication taken as an infant, I had permanent staining of my adult teeth. My 30 year old porcelain veneers needed to be replaced. The veneers and my permanent teeth were misshapen and there was decay underneath. In addition to having expertise as a general dentist, Dr. Alwan is also proficient in the latest technology in cosmetic dentistry. He enjoys a good relationship with one of the best laboratories and porcelain dental veneer makers in the country. He personally made several trips to the lab to oversee the process of crafting my temporary and then my permanent veneers. Dr. Alwan was tenacious in making sure that the color, texture and shape of the final product would be perfect. He spent a great deal of time on my case and did not charge for the extra time he put in. The quality of the final product and satisfaction with my new smile were his goals. The work he did and my new smile far exceeded my highest expectations. If he can achieve such great results in my case, I am convinced that he can handle anything! Dr. Alwan also knows the best resources for any situation. We have received superb orthodontic and endodontic referrals from him for our whole family. He is well known and respected by the entire dental community in our area. Everyone at the Alwan Dental Practice goes above and beyond for patients. From Dolores's efficiency and pleasantness at the front desk to the skill and kindness of the dental assistants, the entire staff is a joy to work with. Considering all of the medical and dental care that our family has had over the years, this is by far the most efficiently run office and they provide the best care we have received, anywhere. In summary, I simply cannot say enough good things about Dr. Alwan and his great staff of professionals. You would be lucky to have them as dental care providers. Jennie M
