So I've just been trying to ignore them and hope that they're benign, but it's a really scary sensation when it skips beats, and I always had a nagging feeling that they were never really diagnosed. After a friend told me about how his skipped beats were caused by a life-threatening heart problem which required emergency surgery, I decided I needed a real diagnosis. So I found Dr. Walia on ZocDoc and made an appointment. I was all prepared to defend myself and explain that I wasn't paranoid and wasn't imagining things and just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious, but I didn't need to. She actually listened to me and took it seriously and scheduled tests. The tests showed it to be benign PVCs, and now I know I can just ignore them safely. She was kind and understanding and explained everything well, which isn't my usual experience with doctors.
