Dec 2015 She start to have sever pain in her inguinal hernia mesh area and it progressively getting worse until she wasnt able to walk. After years of unanswered questions and ongoing pain, I feel it's important to share my honest…read moreexperience so others can make their own informed decision. This is my honest review based on my experience. Dr. Jacob initially seemed kind, professional, and reassuring, which is why I trusted him with my last surgery. Unfortunately, my experience left me with serious concerns about transparency, communication, and postoperative care. Before surgery, we discussed removing the mesh as well as addressing painful lipomas, incision-related problems, and abdominal wall defects. Only the mesh was removed, and my symptoms remained essentially unchanged. I was also surprised to find four trocar incisions when I only remember discussing three. The painful lipoma remained in the same location after surgery and was eventually removed by a plastic surgeon. My concerns grew after surgery. I found little or no documentation of several preoperative visits. After I began asking questions and requesting records, the documentation on my patient portal became much more frequent and detailed. I also did not receive an operative report until weeks later, despite repeatedly requesting it. The document I eventually received did not appear to me to be the standard hospital operative report I expected, and I was unable to obtain nursing notes or other documentation that I believed would normally accompany a surgery. I was left without clear answers about what occurred during my procedure. That entire process continues to concern me years later. I went under anesthesia expecting my concerns to be addressed, but I woke up with more questions than answers. I felt violated as a patient, and the experience has stayed with me ever since. During follow-up visits, I often felt I had to pull information out of him rather than receiving clear explanations, leaving me uncertain about what he actually believed or recommended. I was referred to pain management, but I did not feel those referrals addressed the underlying cause of my pain. Some specialists were unable to offer a meaningful treatment plan, while others required substantial out-of-network payments, leaving me feeling like I had nowhere to turn. Years later, I am still seeking treatment for persistent abdominal wall pain. I continue to have the same painful incision and abdominal wall problems that led me to seek surgery in the first place. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this surgeon. This experience has left lasting scars, both physically and emotionally. Honestly, this was the most dishonest encounter I have ever experienced with a doctor.

He has the best bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable about even my rare condition, I also have to add he was extremely kind and gentle with my service dog as well which always wins points for me!! November of 2024 I saw Dr. Imani, he also was absolutely amazing!! He's got an awesome bedside manner, is also extremely knowledgeable even about my rare condition, he was extremely nice to my service dog as well. I love and trust NSPC so much that I have even referred both of my parents there for different spinal/nerve conditions.

A NURSE ASKED ME HOW I WAS! When I told her I was in terrible pain, she asked me WHAT I WANTED! I was freaking out that I was being made responsible for my pain relief. I didn't know what to do. I just knew dilaudid was used and was so stressed that I didn't know what was the best solution. I guess I should have said a morphine drip. I had to suffer unimaginable pain with only 12 hour INJECTIONS of dilaudid. 3 months later, I was still in agony and had sciatica. Another MRI showed the compressed nerve had gotten worse. He said he " NEVER SAW IT". No one acknowledged the mistake.(lawsuit paranoia).I couldn't function. YEARS have passed, epidurals don't work and OPIOIDS are not to be had. Medical marijuana in NY is limited and more expensive than most other states. It seemsdoctors here seem to be limited in time, compassion, integrity, and effective solutions. Interestingly, doctors have told me how cervical fusion would fix my totally messed up neck (which I know all too well) but after my failed surgery I'm terrified. Not being famous or wealthy effects your treatment and outcome, as does your insurance. It's getting worse, as are my neurological related issues. I understand the anxiety, depression, and desperation of pain and inability to function and live life.

She called at least 10 other doctors in the area btw. With everyone oh next week we can get her in. I got right in here, and I can't even stress the relief I had after seeing the doctor. Cortisone shot yes! I had a huge calcium deposit in my elbow! Which was causing the extreme pain. Anyway hopefully I am good now, we shall see but still I will forever rave about this doctor for saving the day. I also got right in, maybe a 20 minute wait the first time? As my hubs filled out paperwork for me (I couldn't hold a pen) I think all doctors should have emergency appointments like this place did. Like I could just wait a week to be able to use my arm?
