The estimate included every detail. Work began within days and was finished after two days. The workers were polite and hard working showing great patience with changes made during construction. Nothing was sloppy as even precise cuts were made where needed. Double and single gates included steel posts for extra strength. A baseboard along the entire fence keeps animals from digging under it and holds back ground where it was uneven. On top of all this the price was reasonable and competitive. The Rheem estimate from the big box store was ridiculous; the teaser price went up by 50% once they actually itemized the install. Emerald City's came in comparable to our usual plumber, but with the added benefit of getting another Rheem instead of a different brand and adding an automatic shut-off in case of leaks. Emerald City partners with McClendon Home Services for the water heater installs. Jesse and Aaron were on time and professional. Jesse checked our meter at the street and explained why we didn't need an expansion tank and, in fact, why having one could unnecessarily increase our water bill. We now have a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty and peace of mind. We also got an estimate for windows, but unfortunately Emerald City doesn't currently provide exterior painting services. We still might loop back with them in the future for first-floor windows where we could paint the trim ourselves. Overall, we're happy with the communication, customer service, and value.

He also patiently worked with us to help decide which composite to use for the staircase surface. Wasili then send us a very fair bid. After he sent us photos of other houses for which he did similar work, we accepted his bid. Wasili came out to our house the very next day, dropping supplies off and starting demo. When he did that, he also went above and beyond. He suggested two upgrades to the work he bid on, offering for free to provide am additional cross-brace and to use composite for the risers as well. After finally getting several quotes on porch floor replacement/small deck extension, I decided to go with Gibson. I wanted to upgrade to ipe and emailed him last Friday. On the following Monday, his assistant Emilee told me was out of the office until Wednesday. On Wednesday, heard back from Damon with cost of upgrading to ipe. Great!. But to reduce costs, I ask to do my own demo and disposal, and get rid of a hatch to a crawl space. On Thursday, I received a new email from Emily with a new quote. Naturally I assumed it was to reflect what Damon and I discussed. But when I opened it, it still reflected the old quote with mahagony, not ipe. She then kept resending the same old quote, about 5 times and I kept telling her it's the old one. I then told her to get some rest and try again the next day. Now it's Friday, and I get the same old quote again. WTF? I tell Emilee to get on board with Daman. Then I get an email from Damon blaming me for all this miscommunication and that he is walking away from this job. I am a 64 year old woman who's just been blamed for his and his assistant's own incompetence. Don't hire this guy. Since bragging to me about the big Pike Place Market job he got, his head is getting a bit too big. How dare you blame this miscommunication on me and then ghost me? He can do this since he has business out to 3 months - he doesn't need your business. There are lots of deck companies out there. Do your due diligence folks, and don't hire this guy.
