That makes me really frustrated bc pm pediatrics is urgent care. To switch is a lot so we just stay. We do like our doctors and all the doctors there.

I personally have one doctor who I request not to see, and the front desk has it marked in my file. Below is the single negative experience I had with one particular doctor. Please read the whole review to see why despite the experience I had with thjs particular doctor I believe this practice deserves a 4 star review. I had a difficult experience with the medical management of my late term preemie in early 2018- he was born at 34 weeks 6 days. He was big (almost 6.5 pounds) and "fell through the cracks" at the hands of both the hospital and a particular doctor who was on call and at the hospital from Navesink Peds. After birth my son was kept in the well baby nursery and sent home with us despite having a borderline low temperature and easily fatiguing while eating. We were given no direction on the necessity of extra layers and room temperature to help him regulate his temperature, and so we handled him like we had our previous full term infants. He was also not given a car seat test prior to discharge at the doctors orders to waive it despite him being just 35 weeks. Thankfully the doctor had recommended a 24 hour follow up visit instead of the typical 48 hour one, so we spent one night with our baby at home and brought him in for his check up. At that point we were stunned to learn that his body temperature was 95/96 degrees and had lost a significant amount of weight. We then brought our little guy BACK to the hospital to the NICU (where he should've been all along) and he stayed for a week. This was upsetting for my entire family. I truly have never heard of a preemie going home with a family and then getting admitted to the NICU. In the NICU my son received the care he needed including an incubator for temp regulation, a cardiology consult where they found he had a small hole in his heart (the pediatrician had also missed the murmur after delivery), bilirubin lights, and a huge but likely unnecessary dose of antibiotics due to his low body temperature, and a car seat test prior to discharge. We requested to absolutely NOT see this doctor again and have not since. The follow up care we received from other doctors at the practice was absolutely excellent and I now have a thriving 24 month old. I trust them with the care of my older two children as well. My point in all of this is that since the practice is so big, there are going to be different styles and personalities. The doctor who I no longer see may have well have been from a different practice. So take your time and request to see different doctors before ruling out this practice. As a side note, I 100% have followed up with this hospital as their policies for late term preemies clearly needed to be looked over.

I loved this practice at first. When my favorite doctor left, I was bummed but stayed because I…read morereally liked at least 2 of the other doctors still there. When the group was taken under BCD Group things started changing. There is a lot of turn over with the doctors. I also would have to take an entire day off of work for well visits due to archaic scheduling practices (no late or evening hours) and when asked if they could make an exception for a working single parent, I was asked if "the nanny" could just take my son....ummm I don't have one and that's a weird assumption to make. I also do not like that the doctors have to carry around lap tops during their exam. It is very impersonal. The last time I took my son for a well visit it was so rushed and the office was short a Doctor. My son, being a 4 year old, was extremely silly and not really super duper compliant with the screening (hop on one foot, etc.) and this didn't go over well with the doctor. I mean, you're in the business of working with kids. Lighten up a bit.

Their gross negligence landed my daughter in the hospital last year with pneumonia. I had brought her to them multiple times for a hacking cough that wasn't getting better and each time they sent me home with nothing for her. By the final visit, she was listless, had 104 fever and couldn't hold down a dose of Motrin or Tylenol. Dr. Burkhouse said "it's probably a stomach virus"- that made no sense to me, seeing as she had had a hacking cough for 2 weeks. Luckily, I decided to take her to the Emergency Room, you know.. since I couldn't trust the pediatrician to properly help my daughter. She has a large mass on her left lung, seen by X-ray and was admitted to the hospital for A WEEK!!!! Thank God I didn't trust the doctor to make the right call that day. Anyway, I have a new doctor, I am happy with her. I am trying to get her records transferred to this new practice and Monmouth Pediatric is harassing me for $20 to mail these records. How f***ed up is that?! I had to transfer her records to a new doctor due to this ones gross negligence and they're charging me. I work in a medical office, we charge for years worth of records to be release but she's 3 1/2- really?

Worst experience at a pediatrician so far! There is no communication in the office whatsoever! I…read morelive 20 mins away and have to pay tolls to get there and when I went to the desk to leave I asked them for the script..the woman SULAY and VERONICA said they were sending it to the pharmacy and asked which one. I go and wait an HOUR at the pharmacy for it to be sent over. I called twice and they said they were sorry they were trying to get to it. So I wait....then they inform me they made a mistake and they were supposed to give it to me at the office that they don't send this one to the pharmacy and that I need to drive back 20 minutes to pick it up after already driving 20 mins home and waiting at the pharmacy for an hour and two phone calls later that's when they decide to inform me! I asked to speak to a manager because I wanted to express my frustration over the phone before I got back to the office and the manager ASHLEY kept interrupting with excuses for reasons why she thought I was upset. It took a while for me to even get her to listen and turns out she had no idea it happened and then had an attitude about it because she seemed so sure in herself that I was upset because of how long it took for the script to be sent to the pharmacy. then when I got there VERONICA insisted that it was my fault because I should have told her what the script was for. Mind you the doctor told me it was being sent to the pharmacy and the desk confirmed that when I checked out to leave. Communication within a drs office is very important for each patient and without communication, eventually a child will suffer. I will never be back here and I hope no one is trusting them with something serious. Now going forward how many months I need them to fax over immunization records for school registration because I moved and can not physically pick them up from the office. They admitted the fax machine on THEIR end had an issue but they would not be able to keep trying so I would have to come pick them up (again I moved). After how many months, this office still is extremely unprofessional and rude. (Honestly I question their competence and am very uncomfortable that my daughters medical records are in their hands)
