Mental health is a daily struggle, but Psycamore helped me learn the skills to better cope. My only negative comment is that I was not put in the trauma group earlier in my therapy. I think that would have helped even more.

Ummm...dunno how I feel about this place. My grandmother is here for a neuro surgery. The DOCTORS…read moreare great. Great interaction, lots of friendliness, and not making you feel STUPID. Nurses however? Pff yall need to learn some customer service. This is a hospital. Where I'm sure there are numerous deaths a day. It just happens sometimes, not because of negligence, death just happens to us all eventually. This hospital and its care workers need to be more mindful of that. Had one nurse raise her voice at me to get off the elevator. No need to yell, I'm getting off, I see you're loading a hospital bed. But lady, what if I had just experienced a death? And was going down to my car to go home and prepare a funeral? They have these promotional signs up here everywhere that talk about attitude is everything, and you may not remember a name, but you'll remember how they made you feel. Well I know how I feel about St. Dominic's and it's NOT good. Remember where you're working, remember your career path. There are grieving people, receiving difficult diagnoses, or possibly even heartbreaking news. I have worked in healthcare before, and we all go to the doctor. How we are treated ESPECIALLY in healthcare matters greatly.

This place is a complete nightmare, and having a loved one at this facility is absolutely horrific…read more They do not communicate with the patient, or the patient's family. Trying to get someone on the phone is an hours long ordeal, and once you get someone, they are rude & condescending. I am polite to a fault until I start being talked to this way!! Your nurses at Crisis Unit 2 really need to undergo some additional training in dealing with mentally ill patients, their families, and all that comes with that. I know it's a stressful situation but if you can't treat people with basic dignity & respect, you need to find a new career. Not keeping patients & families INFORMED is repugnant, irresponsible, and grossly negligent. This is NOT the last I'll have to say, but it is MOST DEFINITELY the last time my family will be subjected to your utter failure as "healthcare providers"!!!
