I read the Yelp reviews, all excellent for this business, and called hoping they could work me into their very busy schedule. They not only worked me in but also were very thorough in asking for all possible deductions and needed receipts, even working after hours to help me out. No extension was even suggested. They have an amazing office staff, very compassionate demeanors and took well deserved pride in their professionalism. I love these folks. Get their help for all of your insurance/taxt​ filing needs. The original agent was very nice, but said to Maria that I didn't include that info in my "packet", which is NOT true, furthermore she never asked me for it or mentioned it in our conversation before I submitted the return electronically. I drove 10 miles to the Oracle location after calling and saying I was on my way as Maria had requested on the phone that AM, with the documents they requested. Long story short- everyone in that office was rude, mostly ignoring all the people in the waiting area and occasionally barking "we will be with you as soon as we can" in that general direction. When Maria came in, and did see me, I found her quite unprofessional in almost every way. She basically told me it was my word against the agent's as to whether I had given her the forms (I DID) or not, didn't take any real responsibility for the screw up, and offered me "half" of my tax prep. fee back. I eventually got just UNDER half back by mail, no accountability by the company, and STILL do not have my tax refund. VERY UNSATISFIED with this "branch" of HR Block, AND the company in whole, as I contacted corporate directly with my issue, and they have never gotten back to me as they said they would.

I met with Marc in the fall…read moreof 2017 to make sure I understood what sort of records he would need from me, since my property is an apartment building and also my primary residence. Then I provided all of my records and tax documentation to Copper Canyon at the beginning of March 2018 - admittedly later than I intended. I was told it would take about 2 weeks for my taxes to be prepared. I didn't hear anything so I called back a few times and was told they hadn't been able to get to my file yet. I called back again on April 10, and only at that point was I told I needed to complete an "organizer" which was many pages long. I filled it out right away and sent it back, didn't hear anything, called again and was told I would have to file an extension. Ultimately my taxes weren't filed until the end of May. I wouldn't even care about that if Copper Canyon's communication had been better throughout the process. I paid $535 for their services and I didn't feel like I mattered to them as a client, so I'm not sure I want to go back. I have no complaints about my actual tax filings - as far as I can tell Marc did a great job sifting through my expenses and preparing my return.
