I had went to the office the day before my surgery and spoke with the office manager requesting to change from the expensive anesthesia where they use the IV and administer drugs to make you relax and sleep. I had said I wanted to change because I did not think my insurance would pay for it. It was about $500
The office manager assured me that insurance should pay for IV. That cost $500. Low and behold 2 months later, they did not pay it. She told me they would pay it at the time because she did not want to have to reschedule the surgery because I wanted the less expensive option, the less expensive option. I feel ripped off over this because she assured me insurance would cover the expense. That is why I went ahead and let them use the expensive option of $500 and now 2 months later I find out I have to pay it all. read more
