Our experience with Anderson Boat Sales was remarkable. From the initial contact with sales to the final delivery to our Marina, the entire process was met with professionalism. Our sales person, Kayla, was incredible. She was enthusiastic, personable, always helpful, and highly knowledgeable. I was provided with video and photo updates and was even included in a facetime call while one of my accessories was being installed. We had in-water training with their amazing crew led by Blake prior to delivery. It was obvious that the entire team genuinely loves what they do and finds fulfillment in bringing joy to their customers. My boat was finally returned the following week. But it gets worse. GM Chris Anderson called me. He apologized profusely for his infamously obnoxious uncle, who is "not permitted to talk to customers". But while Chris was out of the office, Uncle Dave was reportedly causing offenses at a record pace. Still, Chris assured me that this would never happen again, that he'd be my only point of contact, that he'd provide his mobile number, and a substantial accommodation to keep me as a customer. All of this so I'd remove my first review, posted last month. I did. Then, naturally, everything Chris promised, never happened. Now a month later, and I haven't even been able to get Chris back on the phone. It gets worse. All of the service items that were supposedly the reason for my repeatedly canceled and delayed delivery appointments -- those likewise never happened. Not a single one of them. They charged me (in fact, they overcharged me by $150), but did absolutely NONE of the work that they promised me was completed before my boat was finally returned. When I was sold this 2024 Tahoe new last year, it was somehow missing a battery. I had to travel to Grand Rapids to pick up a replacement battery. Over the winter, they said that battery was installed; it was not. They said the stereo amp was fixed; it was not. They said the ladder was fixed; it was not. They said the boat was gassed up; it was not. They said it was detailed; it was not. They said the oil was changed; at this point, how could anyone reasonably believe that was done either? It gets worse. Not only was the boat not serviced but, incredibly, it was returned damaged. Whether in storage or on delivery, they bent the front door and front door latch and returned the bimini in pieces. You think they're finally taking care of things like professionals? Naah, I still can't get Chris Anderson or his service department on the phone. I purchased this boat to enjoy a leisurely family experience. This has quite possibly been the worst service experience of my life. I literally cannot get my boat back. Twice my delivery has been canceled because the warranty and service issues long outstanding since they picked it up on Nov 1 are STILL not done. Today my boat was supposed to be delivered at 12pm. Almost every time I have called, I have been placed on hold indefinitely, only to be later sent into voicemail or disconnected altogether. You'll have a better chance of getting Trump on the line than their service manager, Jacques. When I finally did reach someone, I sat on hold for more than an hour, only to regrettably meet "Dave", who was obstinate, unapologetic, and insulting. He said that Jaques will get to me if and when he can and then hung up on me. Now 3 scheduled boat deliveries and more than 3.5 hours later, I still have no boat, no confirmation that any service issues have actually been completed, and no communication with anyone who actually knows what's going on or who knows the first thing about customer service. Meanwhile, my family has just been waiting around all Saturday afternoon. You'd be better served to leave your boat in the water this winter than to give it to Anderson. Either way your boat won't work, but at least you'll know where to find it. read more

Big fans of Dennis Anderson and Anderson's Boats! We purchased a new Key West 20 DFS in July 2019. Everything about the sales experience was top-notch. Dennis quickly took us out for a sea trial, we loved the boat, and we got the deal done in about two days with no nonsense. To be honest, they were very firm on the price of the boat. This was expected -- these are popular boats with low inventory. However, they threw in a ton of extras: very nice GPS chartplotter (installed), canvas, fenders, lines, lifejackets, fire extinguisher, flares, etc. I didn't add it up, but it was thousands of dollars. Overall, the total value was outstanding. If you are a first time boat buyer, here's a hard truth: no boat comes perfect from the factory. The important question is how well the dealer handles your requests for warranty repairs. Anderson's gets five stars on this. I put together a small list of items that I wanted fixed and dropped the boat back off at the end of the 2019 season. Every issue was fixed, with no pushback, and no cost to me. You can't count on all dealers to do this well, but Anderson's got it done. Go see Dennis, get a new boat, and we'll see you out on the water! read more

Kayla and her team did an outstanding job with the purchase of our 2021 Key West 219 FS. From the moment we walked into the dealership on a snowy February day we were immediately impressed with the variety of boats offered by Anderson's. Anderson's knew our boat from Bow to Stern and was very attentive to our needs as boaters on Lake St Clair. We left Anderson's that day with smiles on our faces and returned in May to pick up or new boat. Kayla made herself available the whole time (Feb-May) to handle any questions we had, assist in getting a full custom canvas designed and installed, and finish the prep before we took delivery. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Yesterday my husband put a cash hold on the boat we were going to buy. They said it was a guaranteed 48 hour hold for us to get our loan approval to them. LESS THAN 24 hours after putting our first payment down and calling the bank running our credit and getting approved. They called and said they were sending a refund to sell to someone who had an offer in front of them right now. This is sketchy business. We now have now run our credit to buy a boat that was "guaranteed" ours that got ripped out from under us. TERRIBLE SERVICE! read more
