The friendly, delightful ladies who are sit at the reception desk always ask if I would like a cup of tea or glass of water. They always have a smile, always ask how i'm doing - i'm always looked after when I visit Bupa. And then just as i've had a great consult downstairs, i'm whizzed through the claims process upstairs in a jiffy! Bupa on George is convenient, friendly and my favourite/not favourite place to be.

She's an extremely busy woman (appointments are recommended) but during my check-ups, I always feel like that half hour belongs to me, and I have her full attention. Having experienced poor quality of patient care one too many times, it's refreshing to find a doctor who actually becomes worried when you haven't dropped by in awhile. There is also a dentist on the premises.

The receptionists were extremely patient and nice too, and they helped me arrange everything for Assist Card to cover me and book any necessary appointments for health tests in other centres. Jason advised this was not possible as I would need to go in for a consultation - I advised that I understand that, but because I had already seen the Dr and been provided with a script - could be please ask a Dr and he was not even willing to ask - he told me he just wouldn't. Now I understand there are policies in place but had Jason just showed some decent curiosity and asked a simple question to a Dr I would of felt "heard" - especially when I'm clearly feeling stressed over my bag being stolen. Jason, buddy, you have really made what I consider a constant joy of a Drs surgery to attend - into a negative experience that I will not forget anytime soon.

There is actually only one doctor (Mrs Mira Andric). My actual consult was pretty close to the appointment time, although they require full payment for the consult, I could claim my Medicare rebate immediately while at the clinic. The GP has a good list of specialists in the CBD she provides referrals to, and they respect her referrals. In addition her partner does mole scans on Fridays at the clinic. An appointment for a scan can be a month or so away. He is thorough and keeps a record for future reference of potential suspicious moles.

They have helped by body through physical and mental stress. As this place doesn't bulk bill, its best not used for common colds and the like, for which there is a bulk bill practice down the road near Hyde Park. I came here when I needed something checked out and the staff were great. My doctor took time to listen to my concerns and did all the necessary tests. The pathology lab is also next door which is really convenient. Follow ups and referrals were all handled professionally. Its weird but I never felt like I was in some queue and that they had to get as many patients in and out as possible, even though it was a medical centre. So if you need something more serious than the flu to be checked out, I would rather pay the fee and come here as you will get better service.
