When the time came, all it took was a phone call to Randy and his staff to start the process of handling everything. We didn't have a service, but all other details were taken care of, including shipping my father in law's ashes to the cemetery where his plot was. Almost all details were easily handled by email or phone. For our needs, Sumner Funeral & Cremation Services was easy and inexpensive.

It has roses across the front just back of the headstone and holly bushes to either side. The cemetery has funeral chapel on premises and various above and below ground options. This place also is set in a rural setting between the old and new route 109 so future home building around the place will probably not occur! I highly recommend Crestview!

I was at the hospital when Crestview sent T.J. To pick my mother up. From the moment he entered her…read moreroom he was polite, well dressed and very caring. This was at about 11:30 p.m. and he assured me that he would take good care of her for me. He was prepared with a box of things for us to use in order to be ready when we made arrangements at Crestview the following day. It had everything we needed to be ready for our experience to prepare for the funeral. The next day we were greeted by Randy Nash and Jackie. They were the most prepared, helpful, and full of knowledge and had all the right answers people I have ever dealt with. I couldn't be more pleased at how easy they made this for my family. Never did we feel slighted for a second! Their attention to detail and EXACTLY what we wanted was impeccable! I would trust them with anybody....I told them up front that we were very picky and we had a certain way we wanted things handled and not once did they fail us. We had so many compliments on how good my mother looked, the casket, the flowers, everything was amazing! We couldn't be more pleased. The funeral came and the music was played perfectly, the cemetery was set up with tents for our family and friends due to the rain. I cannot express enough how professional everyone at Crestview was to our family. No one likes to make these type of arrangements but it is nice we you can trust the people your dealing with to make the experience a lot less stressful. Thanks Randy, Jackie, T.J. and all the Crestview staff.

Gallatin City Cemetery honors the area's history and heritage, connecting visitors with prominent…read morehistorical figures. We visited on a day when it was cold and cloudy. It was nice being the only ones there. It is a small cemetery in a neighborhood next to a railroad track. Unfortunately, some graves were settled back in the brush that isn't being cut back to preserve their stones. The cemetery's historical significance has the gravesites of notable figures like Sam Houston and Eliza Allen, essential for history enthusiasts and those interested in the broader historical narrative of the United States, especially his connection to Texas. I was surprised to learn that Sam Houston had been buried here. That was the most enlightening figure for me to learn about. What a scandal of the day he had when he was only married to Eliza Allen for 11 weeks. They didn't get a divorce for quite some time, though. He went on to marry a second and third time. The gravesites of William Trousdale and Peter Vertrees also add historical importance to Gallatin City Cemetery. Trousdale's military and political contributions and Vertrees' leadership in local politics and business highlight the diverse history of those buried in this cemetery. If you're a history enthusiast or a taphophile, I would encourage you to visit. It's an interesting place, for sure, and to see who all maintains certain connections to the cemetery.

I decided after about four days to go 's and ask if I could visit with my husband for 10 or 15 minutes. I parked on the side where the double glass doors are and I went in and I got to a long hallway and I looked left. I didn't see anyone so I went down the hall toward the front of the building, knocking on the asking is there anybody here? Is there anybody here? I found no one so I had heard people talking at the other end of the hall with a single glass door went out into a parking lot. I proceeded down that hallway and when I got to the glass doors, a woman, a blonde, middle-aged woman let me at the door and open the door and her first question was to me." How did you get in here?" I told her that I had come through the double doors on the side parking lot and she proceeded to act like I was lying and said the man that just left has just locked all these doors.. so trying to lighten the mood a bit. I said well I assure you I open those doors before I came through them. She either did not get the humor or didn't think it was humorous she said what can I do for you and I proceeded to tell her my husband is here and I would like to visit with him for approximately 15 minutes. I told her how long we were married, and that he had passed away On 16 June. So she asked me what his name was and I said Jeff Chandler., well she said to me we do not have a Jeff Chandler here. And I said to her yes you do he's here., and she proceeded to tell me that she answers the upfront and she would know if he was here, so I told her Hunter's funeral home picked him up in Gallatin and brought him here to be cremated. She said oh well if he's here he would be he's out in the back parking lot in a building in our 10 she man cooler., which wasn't a very good visual for me having my husband gone only four days. I just don't see necessary why she would've had to have told me that but anyway she said if he is here and it was a she told me if I wanted to see him that I would have to call funeral home and have them come pick him up and take him to Watertown and have him Prepped for visitation , I said to her that is not necessary. I just see him for a few minutes to tell him goodbye.. well she told me that that was not possible that I had to take it up with Hunter's and led me to the back door and more or less put me out to go and that was the end of it. Needless to say, I sit in the car and cried and cried as I looked at the crematory building thinking of him in a 10 person cooler with nine other people possibly just not a good situation.. I would really love to have an apology from this lady and let her know that that is really not the way you talk to people you don't start out with "what are you doing in here " like you broke into the place and in telling you that your husband's not there that she answers the phone and she would know if he was there when I'm trying to tell her yes he is here. Anyway, hopefully they have cameras or record and show exactly what the conversation was and when I came in the door and when I went out the door, etc., etc.. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this
