Accidents happen. So when the metal cleaning steam wand fell down the stairs in put a quarter-sized gouge in my less than 1 year old new wood floors I didn't freak out. When the owner came out a few days later promising to fix it I wasn't worried. But when the flooring company called and said they wanted to work with me directly and fix the floors for free vs working through Steamatic and billing them because it would be easier, I was a bit surprised. Yet not, as the owner at Steamatic didn't reply to any of my emails or phone calls after the time he stopped out to inspect the damage. My floors are fixed and the flooring company was great to work with. That's the good news. But let me say I'm rather surprised that not only did the cleaners that day still ask for and take my payment, my check was quickly cashed by Steamatic. After the floors were replaced I emailed the owner to let them know that all was taken care of, yet I was surprised they still asked for and cashed my check. It's been a few weeks and I've never heard back. I wasn't going to write a Yelp review; I never had before. But you know, after a few no replies, a cashed check, no offers to clean my other floors, etc... well, maybe a Yelp would be helpful to others. read more
