We ordered the cheddar hushpuppies( soft and melts in the mouth) and nola grilled gulf oysters (savory;garlic butter,herbs, parmgiano-regiano, pecorino romano,crusty bread) for our appetizers. We loved the nola grilled oysters it is so fresh and delicous. We decided to try a platter of different kinds of oysters. My favorite is the sweet jesus( Maryland oysters ;sweet and clean,less salty). Also tryed a dozen of the happy hour barcat oysters from Chesapeake Bay Virginia ( meaty texture;salty to sweet finish). The most fresh tasting oysters I've tasted in the east coast. They shuck the oysters for you too. For our main plate we both had the charleston shrimp burger(housemade shrimp pattie,lettuce,tomato, charred lemon caper tartar sauce, brioche bun). The shrimp burger is amazing!!!!The best seafood burger I've ever tasted on the east coast. I would recommend 10/10. The photo can be deceiving, quality of the shrimp pattie is unmatched on the east coast. Overall,this restaurant is excellent for fresh seafood.There is more seafood menu items other then oysters and shrimp,looking forward for our next visit!!!!

I said to her, (and I was polite) "I think you may have charged me twice for the tequila". She said in a very snippy voice, "No ma'am". Then she said, "Do you want to see my screen?". She whipped her screen around and said in the most condescending voice, "Count 'em" which I did and she had indeed charged me twice for the tequila. I don't have a problem at all with someone making a mistake. It happens. What I do have a problem with is a clerk who can't handle being questioned without pulling a bad attitude. I'll shop at the Beverage Outlet on Bobby Jones from now on. The Mullins Colony Beverage Outlet has lost my business.

The first thing that struck me was it was clean and items were attractively stocked. The owners are onsite and are friendly, helpful and engaging. it's obvious this store is run with pride. I've purchased several items but my favorite is the blackberries. They were really fresh, moist and sweet-- rivaling past purchases in town yet competitive with WalMart prices. Apparently there is some back way of getting there, but I just drove to the nearby park (quite pleasant) and walked over, and found them still open. The building looks like a factory from the outside, but has a well-manicured storefront that offers their soda selection plus some other specialties like candy. There is soap with their soda flavors; not sure I'm sold on that. I was pleased that they had several cardboard carriers and you could build your own 4-, 6-, or 12-pack of sodas. I tried one of their flavors at an Asheville restaurant, which is only half an hour a way (this area feels farther out than that). Apparently flavors rotate. I'm not judging every flavor they have, but from what I experienced this was a quality place if you want the occasional sugary indulgence. It seemed they were talking with local fruit suppliers in the factory section while I was there, which speaks to the sort of fresh and local taste you can expect.

Flavors like blackberry serrano anf strawberry rhubarb make this place stand out as a place I want to make sure I visit. Often when I'm in WNC, I want beer to go with my meals but today I knew I was taking it easy on the alcohol consumption and WSJ was just the perfect replacement to go with my BBQ brisket I was about to take down. My interactions with the staff were great. They told me about the current flavors and what was coming up next and it was a pretty fast in and out visit today because I was ready to get these cold sodas back to my rental house to have with my lunch. Here are a few things I wish were different. Of course I wish the price was a little lower but this is what you get when you are using all of this fruit and being so particular about your product. It isn't overpriced. I have been drinking these sodas for about 4 years now and I haven't really seen any new flavors in that time. Maybe because I'm in Waynesville around the same time each year I'm getting the same flavors? Also, I wish it was a little easier to find, like maybe in the local Ingles store? Other than those few things, I love it! I'm glad to have gotten a six pack today and I look forward to having more! My favorite flavor is strawberry rhubarb!

In many places it's difficult to sort through all the various types of beer, here they have a good system. You can go to the Belgian, or spa, or stout, or sour, etc. etc. section and find a good variety of choices... I occasionally stop by to pick up boxed wines since my grocery store seems to run out... It's not crowded and the have decent prices, so it's a good dependable place to go. On the liquor side, I find that the offer good advice on a variety of spirits. I've been in looking for some more expensive Bourbons, or Ryes for birthday gift and they have managed to keep me happy. Some stuff that's hard to get is just not going to be anywhere, but they have made suggestions for alternatives that I have been happy with. Definitely a got to go place.
