I called Main Street Auto to get a quote for an oil change on my daughter's vehicle. I was told it…read morewould be 100-120 dollars depending on the oil amount. Based on that, I sent my daughter there for the service. When the work was done, the receipt showed they charged her 150 dollars. I immediately called the shop and asked again how much an oil change for that exact vehicle should cost. A different employee told me the same thing: 100-120 dollars. When I asked why my daughter was billed 150, she looked up the invoice and confirmed the only service performed was an oil change. She even admitted the price seemed high and said she would check with her manager. Later, I received a call back stating 150 dollars was the "correct" price, despite both employees confirming twice that the cost for her vehicle should be 100-120 dollars. This feels dishonest and misleading. I strongly believe they took advantage of a teen because she didn't know any better. I will never return to Main Street Auto and want others to be aware of their shady practices.

When I dropped the vehicle off, everything was in normal condition, including all the windows being fully closed. However, when I returned to pick it up, I found the passenger-side window covered with plastic and paper. This was surprising, as it was not in that condition when I left it. When I asked about it, I was told that the car had been dropped off that way, which was simply not true. They also mentioned there had been a wasp nest but claimed they had taken care of it. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability and customer service. The staff member I spoke with, Dane who was not accommodating or helpful in resolving the issue. I ended up having to fix and close the window myself before leaving. Based on this experience, I would reconsider recommending this shop, as the customer service and communication were disappointing.
