The Adnames bitter is good and they have some decent wines. The lunch time menu includes a range of baguettes and pub favourites. For dinner, the cooking is more ambitious (we haven't recently een to the pub for dinner, but we enjoyed our last evening meal some years ago). The Sunday lunch is good, with starters and puddings at £4.95 and the main courses around £10. The smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake was a ver good starter. The roat beef was rare, tender and tasty. Vegatables cam in two large dishes: one with roast potatoes and one with a selection of vegetables. The veg had the right amount of crunch, but perhaps were slightly bland. Service was prompt and friendly and the dining room was full.
