I used to Zumba quite a bit, and was always flustered by my lack of coordination, and tendency to over-heat rather quickly. Studio 12 has a group of devoted pros and novices, all there to have fun and work out, so I did not feel out of place even as a first timer. The music was great, and one of my favorite features was that the class was taught in very dim disco/club like lighting - perfect for getting your dance and sweat on! I don't feel as if they are in-training for strip tease. (which isn't the case for all dance recitals that I have seen!) For those of you wondering about the name, this studio actually does do dance theater. They include theatrical dance pieces both in the recital and in area theaters. (This year they performed Mary Poppins and Peter and the Wolf at the recital.) CONS: They have gotten much better, but in the past the administration has been a little disorganized.
