Exactly one month after Ggoing to anchored in flesh I went to a piercing shop in Worcester that has won awards for their professionalism and knowledge with piercing ability. I had the piercer look at my piercing and after he inspected it, he asked me a few questions. He then told me that the earring that was put in my ear was of cheap quality, and it was also a curved barbell, which was causing my ear to grow around it. He explained to me that with a tragus piercing only a straight piece of jewelry should be used. He also explained a few other things that I was unaware of. He gladly replaced the jewelry free of charge. Shame on anchored and flesh for taking advantage of people and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more

I found myself in a disagreement with the owner of the shop over the telephone about the way she was speaking to me. She was extremely disrespectful towards me and I intern responded in a way which was counterproductive. Although it is clear that the customer service in this establishment is sorely lacking I'm only able to reflect on my own behavior. A seemingly simple request on my end has now turned into the police being involved in order for me to retrieve my drivers license from the shop. I do support small businesses. However, this is one small business I will not recommend. I have reached out to the Cranston police and they are willing to accompany me whilst I retrieve my license from anchored in flesh. Although at this point the aggravation may not be worth it. This business will not last. read more

Anchored in Flesh is run by a great & knowledgeable team. I'm surprised to read the negative reviews. My best tattoos have come out of their basement parlor! They are clean, and run some unmatchable deals on piercings and tattoos alike. I would assume people would expect a more laid back customer service given the environment, but I can see how that's not everyone's cup of tea. Not to mention, if your piercings are infected or rejecting, 98% of the time that's your own fault for not following proper aftercare, which they are very informative about if it's your first rodeo!! read more

Went with my friend so she could get a $20 piercing and witnessed the "artist" freak out on the girl getting a nose piercing. he slammed the money onto her and screamed at them to get out because her friend accidentally wiped the marking dot off of her nose. He threatened them and said "i'll run right through you! i'll pop you right now" threw a chair and kicked the trash over. The kids looked like they were going to cry and tried apologizing while leaving only to get cursed and screamed at. The whole experience was very triggering and the guy didn't clean anything when he did my friends piercing after. this was two days ago now and her piercing is already infected. read more

went in to get a piercing and came out being called a bitch and threatened to get me arrested. so boom, i came in and vibes was chill when HES NOT DOING ANYTHING. he gets to piercing a girl before me and the girl passes out and keeps bleeding you can tell he has annoyed look on her face and keeps cursing fuck and shit. It's my turn to go and at first i said no to another piercing because he wasn't using the right jewelry for a tragus and that already made him annoyed at me and told me "we only use correct jewelry here" i said ok. when it came time for my helix piercing , i was bleeding a whole lot from my ear which yes is annoying but as a licensed piercer you're trained to deal with people like that so why are you annoyed? i kept bleeding and bleeding and he asked me "what type of drugs do i do" and i said "what" and he asked me if i drank a lot, i was with my friend so we just laughed it off since we drink occasionally but we aren't drunk right now when im getting the piercing and haven't been in months. i told him off and said it probably was pierced wrong i have no idea why im bleeding this much. now hes annoyed and says that im in his shop and he has to "deal" with me. i was confused since the girl before me was already bleeding as much as me but hes upset at me? I was telling him why are you airing out my business infront of people who don't know me and asked him to shutup. I got out of his chair after he kicked me out and told the people coming in that they need to rethink getting a piercing done by someone so unprofessional and he called me a drunk bitch and said he would call the cops on me. I don't recommend this place I went to get my belly button pierced back in 2017 from the owner and it was fine but I went back in 2022 for my surface tragus piercing and the lady rushed it and I took very good care of it and when I went to go get it changed at another shop they told me she didn't pierce it right and she used the wrong bar and the piercing came out and broke my skin and left me a huge scar on my face and they told me it was regular I definitely wouldn't recommend this place! read more

So I went to anchored in flesh for the 20$ piercing promotion they had going on.. I should have known it was too good to be true. The piercers were very nice and informative, however, they were extremely packed and doing hundreds and hundreds of piercings at once. I went to get my conch pierced and when I tell you the lady pierced it with a BELLY BUTTON RING. It hurt so bad because it was so long in the back that I couldn't even brush my hair. After 2 days my whole ear began to swell and turn purple. I live in MA so I went to a trusted piercer who confirmed that I did in fact have a belly button ring in my EAR and he was absolutely appalled. He said he's never seen anything like it and was wondering wtf the piercer was thinking. My normal piercer changed the conch to a flat back stud (which it should have been pierced with in the first fucking place) and the swelling immediately went down and now it's beginning to heal. I tried to call anchored in flesh 5 times, every single time going to voicemail. I left a message, never got a call back. I will NEVER be going here again. read more

the piercings went fast. I got my lip and my nose and my boyfriend got his septum. she didn't ask me to rinse my mouth before getting my lip pierced at well as not cleaning the site before piercing it that was a little red flag. so then we got up to leave. wasn't told any ways to keep piercings clean or what we should look out for or any papers nothing . I went on Saturday around 2 or 3. there was a line no biggie. I've been using sterile saline 2 times a day to wash my lip ring is super swollen hurts bad. I got my daith pierced back in September 2022, it is now February 2023 and my Daith piercing has completely ejected out of my ear. I went to another piercer to change the jewelry in December and he informed me I was pierced with an eyebrow ring, and the piercing was done very shallow. I also had my tragus done the same time and that was also pierced with an eyebrow ring. I understand you get what you pay for but you should also be using the proper jewelry to follow the needle going through your skin. I've had other piercings done by them and they used the proper jewelry, so that is why I returned for more piercings. I will not be recommending to anyone and will tell people to stay away. read more

Got my belly pierced here and it only took 5-10 mins. They also give you an aftercare instruction paper with their number on it if you have any questions after. I always come here to get my piercings, (I got my nose done) They do a great job, opens all of the sterile instruments in front of you. And the price of all piercings is a great deal! read more

I think it was my best piercing experience so far. My friend contacted them via facebook for a belly piercing and they replied within 24 hours. We had our appointments at 1:30PM but the lady there was able to take us in AN HOUR EARLY. The paperwork was quick but thorough. The piercing itself took less than 5 minutes. She sterilized everything extensively. We left with a list of helpful post-care instructions. Went here in the summer to get the belly button pierced for the first time and it wasn't pierced properly. It became infected and when I got it looked at professionally by another place they told me the amount of skin that had bee pierced wasn't enough and if my shirt got caught and ripped it I was looking at a scar. Jewelry is cheap they dont let you choose so don't come here if you're expecting a high end body piercing shop. They do change piercings for free if you decide to bring your own jewelry.
