The other vet gave my dog fluids. They repeated chest x-rays. The other vet told me that there was no tumor in my dog's lungs. The other vet told me that my dog didn't have a stroke. In fact, the other vet told me that my dog was overdosed on medication that was 10 times his body weight. Later, I disputed the charge from Dr. Amy Hasty and I was not refunded. She still made me pay for the horrible service that my dog experienced. This experience still traumatizes me. I do not recommend taking your pet to Dr. Amy Hasty.

She took an extensive recent history and took the time to gave Babe a thorough assessment. I was very relieved that it didn't appear to be an emergent issue, so Babe was able to return home after some subcutaneous hydration with antidiarrheal medication, and a plan for next day followup (lab work, possible imaging) if things didn't improve. A fecal sample was also checked to rule out any parasites. Those (negative) results were emailed as soon as available, again to great relief. So far so good (appetite and bowel habits improved). I appreciated being able to have Babe seen so quickly and all the time taken during his latest visit. Dr Olson, the vet assistants and everyone at SAH have always been great with Babe, and he's always received great care over his five years with me, as well as the time before that with his original owner. Believe me I have looked. My Dog was 12 and had a tumor and we had to put him down. It has been awful missing my dog but the vet has been nothing but compassionate. They said they would bill me instead of making me pay while I was sobbing and when I recieved an envolope in the mail thinking it was a bill it was a card from the vet telling me how sorry they are about what happened to my dog. They still have yet to bill me. Today I went back for my cat because she had some scabbing on her neck and when I paid they told me what the balance would be for my dog and informed me that they made me a paw print for me and I can get it in a couple weeks. I got in my car and cried! I just was putting together some scrapbooking stuff for my dog and was so mad at myself that in 12 years time I never took a paw print from my dog and they did it for me.
