It's sad to see so much money go towards the funding of their lifestyle rather than the benefit of students. We were only allowed to use 2 wax strips per waxing session because the school refused to buy/provide more. The student "desk" are outdated. The towels in the Nail course have dry acrylic on them so they're hard and rough and haven't been replaced in YEARS. So are the towels for skin, they're torn up. The desk also have old dried up substances, only God knows what they are. Most of the equipment has not been updated. And God forbid a teacher cares enough to bring in her OWN salon supplies so the students get a better experience. NOPE, my teacher got in trouble for bringing in supplies. The director or whoever is in charge much rather make decisions based on emotion than what's best for student learning. Also witnessed my teacher get attacked by a student which was already sad within itself but the director was more concerned about saving the schools image rather than helping when authorities arrived. Didn't even see her check on my teacher (she may have after the fact but it wasn't her priority for sure) If you're looking to just get a degree without the learning then I'd say go for it. But the experience will most likely not be worth your money unless you get a teacher who genuinely cares (they typically quit or get fired when they try speaking up). You can definitely get a better experience for the same price elsewhere. Cosmo tends to have a bit of a better experience just bc I'm sure the funding is different so the school invest in them more but every program should have an equal opportunity especially giving the fact it's not cheap. However, I heard the Parkland campus isn't so bad. Also received NO help throughout my graduation process I didn't know I was graduating until the day of and they do NOT help you obtain your license or job placement. U literally leave and just never comeback, the most help I received was an email with the link for my license. By far the most DISGUSTING staff and school I have ever came across in the beauty industry. The school is just sorry overall and most people will not enjoy their experience attending here. It started off great with the first teacher, but she was pregnant and her last day was at the end of last week. They replaced her with an incredibly incompetent teacher who seems to take pride in making people feel terrible. I heard it all week (only day three and it's that bad) about other students, crying, going to night classes to actually learn which she isn't teaching them, and overall made the feel terrible about themselves. The contact at the school loves to reply using the excuse that it's an adult program (does that mean adults should tolerate this - pay for this type of treatment and classroom atmosphere?!?). First of all, it's not an adult program or they wouldn't accept 16+. Adult or child, no one should have to endure this type of atmosphere, which is night and day from just last week when the original teacher was still there! I think it's horrible that the first response is an excuse, let alone this excuse. This is not what I paid for and this is not what my daughter signed up for... I highly suggest looking into another school before signing up for Boca Beauty Academy. I will update once the issue is resolved, but looking back I wish I did a little more digging into prior feedback as this seems to be a redundant issue with the school at both locations. Disappointing, to say the least. Also, I was told that I was paying for everything needed, and that is not the case. I had to spend a lot more money on decent supplies since what I paid for was junk. I will compile a list total how much out-of-pocket I've spent on decent products compared to what I paid for initially when I paid for the summer program.

The prices are extremely inexpensive however recently they started adding $10 to my hair for it being long. It's funny though that they realized my hair was long only after 5-6 visits. This might have been a direction from management or other factors involved. That being said, the students are excellent and fun to chitchat with while getting services. I've gotten haircuts and trimming of hair. As well as a good shampoo and blow dry. I like that they take their time, so if your low on time don't go here. In the past I have gotten facials/face scrubs from here as well. The manicures and pedicures are just average, I think the hair services are the best thing which is offered here. You can make appointments over the phone, I don't think they do walk in appointments.

I spent $500 for a course that only describes the process of microneedling vs injection therapy. I have spoken with the owner directly, and was told that this is a course for aestheticians. However, I was originally told that my medical license needed to be verified in order to receive access to the course. So what was the purpose in license verification? The owner proceeded to tell me that it was my fault for purchasing an aesthetician course and refused to refund my money. In fact, in a most unprofessional outcome, I was hung up on. The fraudulent claims of what the course offered inevitably led to "AW Aesthetics" stealing my $500. The following is directly from the AW Aesthetics website: WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? - Learn how to use PRP to treat fine lines around lips, skin laxity of the neck, crow's feet, hair growth on the scalp regeneration, stretch marks scar improvement. In this statement, there is absolutely no reference to the fact that PRP is only used with microneedling vs injection. It is the responsibility of the business to clarify the level of expertise with which the courses are geared towards. I was under the assumption that I would be provided with education to further my practice since I had to provide proof of my medical license. This business practices in a shameful manner. The owner specifically asked me what my expectations were. I explained that I was looking to expand my practice to provide PRP injections for hair restoration. She stated that they offered that course in the past; however, this is currently not an option. Yet she still refused to refund my money. She even proceeded to state that she did not "need" my money and would provide an additional Zoom call. Why would anyone spend $500 for a conversation via Zoom. This company is a complete disgrace.

Went there on an appointment yesterday, 6/5/2026 for my 15+ year old son to take his learner's…read morepermit exam. I paid $74.55 for this service. I stepped away for a few moments as this was taking some time to do. I was called back to the office and presented with a fraudulent document with my son's PII that says there was already proof of a passed test from earlier, just under the wrong SSN? At that point, they should have refunded my money and given me better guidance on how to proceed with the Florida DHSMV, but rather, they pushed my son into ANOTHER test, without the promised review time, and promptly failed him. I informed the woman up front (Hispanic middle-aged female) hat this was not a very good business practice. She became very indignant with me and speaking over me in Spanish (which I also speak) to her other co-workers and proceeded to inform an off-site manager at the other location of this situation. I asked for her name, and she refused to give it to me. Soon after, I received another phone call on my cell phone from 305-974-5045. The man on the other line, in broken English, said he was the Manager at the Miami Lakes location and proceed to argue with me for over 5 minutes. He rudely implied that this was entirely my fault and my son did not deserve to drive. Meanwhile, my son was pulled back in for the promised 1 hour and 45-minute video training but was dismissed by the "instructors" because they wanted to close early. I took my son and left the premises without this being properly resolved at approximately 5:50 pm yesterday. I reported this behavior on the Square app as well. All they did was misleading and condescending behavior toward my son and I. I'm reporting this "agency" to the Florida DHSMV and my bank and will dispute this charge when it reconciles. Parents: DO NOT, say again, DO NOT use this agency to get your kids their learner's permits or driver's licenses.
