He took the time to educate me on the status of the industry and where it is going. I was very impressed with his vast knowledge and experience. When I met with his contact, he was just as great as Don and imbued all the great human qualities that Don has including: Extensive expertise in his field going back 2 generations, Honest to a "T", Fair, very personable, a good listener, really caring about his customers and not treating them like less than or cash machines, impeccable character and moral compass. The yarn bombed parking poles drew me in, and I realized it was a fibre/yarn shop! I HAD to check it out. The amount of variety squeezed into this little space is fantastic--so many colors, textures, and weights of exotic and small-manufacturer yarn; gorgeous color sets of fibre and more. Although the patterns and accessories did not contain much in the way of crochet-specific things, the lady in the shop said she had been wanting to focus on increasing interest in crochet in the shop's community. I left with a handful of yarn hanks and a beautiful birch hook with a decorative handle, and with full satisfaction! It made my day in a small downtown area that consists mainly of real estate shops and salons.

It's so nice to see such a place like this go into town. As soon as you enter, you are immediately hit with the light scent of homemade goodness (or maybe that's just the lavender and goat milk soap!) I wish I could just bottle it up and have my home smell like that. Everything on sale in here is made by local artisans. From deodorant, decorative candles, soaps and scrubs, wine glasses and mugs, wooden furniture and signs, beauty products, clothing....there is truly something unique here for everyone. Lots of organic and fair trade items as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Stephani, one of the owners while we (my son and I) were there and she is just the sweetest. Additionally, they will be hosting events in this space as well. I think along the lines of Mommy & Me classes and adult wine/art nights. Like their Facebook page to check them out as they post events too. I can't wait to go again next week.
