However, and this is a big, however, they can be incredibly flippant and impolite when serving you. I waited a good five minutes at the chicken counter (they have special counters for each meat category with a dedicated person to serve you) and my chicken man was having a casual chat with his colleague while watching me wait instead of coming to serve me. I finally waved and he came over, as if there was nothing to it. I selected my chicken and then wanted some sliced meats at another counter and he went to help me there, but didn't want to slice my ham as thinly as I wanted to so I threatened not to order any before he gave in. Then he wrang up the price wrong (in their favor) and I had to ask twice because I didn't get an answer if my chicken was going to get cut up as I requested, and I got barked "of course madame, we heard you" response. Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather pay more and get treated well when I do my shopping.

Great selection, great prices, and friendly staff even if I can really only say "10 slices,…read moreplease" and point. *hides* Definitely glad to have this little meat shop in my neighborhood, and (bonus!) they're open rather late, from what I can tell. Open throughout August so far (it's August 15th), and I've been in there as late as 6 or 6:15PM. So yes, I'd recommend this place and just suggest brushing up on what you might want ("dees traunch, sil voo play" is phonetically how you say 10 slices, by the way). The process is you get what you want, tell them "that's it" ("say too" phonetically) in response to the raised eyebrows "do you want more?" question. You bring the receipt to the cashier, who will stamp the receipt once you pay. Take the receipt back to the counter and retrieve your purchase. Easy peasy and delicious, too!
