An Institution! This place has the most incredible small town/bar/pizza/Italian vibe EVER!…read more Cascarelli's has more roots than a Michigan root cellar and you can take that check to the bank and cash it. The Caprese salad is to die for and I hate fresh tomatoes. I'd even take seconds if it was offered. The balsamic dressing is a work of art and there is no doubt that the basil was just on the plant the other day. If your looking for pizza than look no further than Cascarelli's. There just isn't anything better in this part of Michigan. Frankie's Pie, specialty pizza, includes Baked Balls and should be a priority in life! I did have to wait an additional 20 minutes (making it 45 minutes i waited for a pizza) because no one can call out a name when the order is done. the pizza was done as i came in but it sat and got cold while i waited 5 foot from it. im disappointed with having to stop supporting a local restaurant but i can't put up with this anymore

The food is good for sure. Majority of staff friendly,…read moreoutgoing and helpful. A few things that if addressed would be great....prices are a bit steep, almost to dark in the room (VERY difficult to see/read menu), put lighting on tables if going to keep that dark / and charging for ranch dressing for dipping sauce for already pricey pizza and offered by wait staff ??? Crazy and greedy imo $$$. Be great if tall and short size cocktails be offered $5/$10, especially in Bloody Mary's...and in the bloody Mary's olives, small tomato, and a dill gherkins, get rid of the dill pickle skin is too tough too even bite through and ditch the big ol' pepper (a waste as most people don't like them). All menu items about 10% overpriced, good food but then you also expect your patrons to add a 20-25% gratuity on top of the already inflated check total Can definitely recommend the food, but a few issues addressed would make the place a 5 star rating imo.

My only complaint? I wish the crust was a little crispier. But hey, apparently I'm a tough crowd. We also tried the smash burger, and everyone LOVED it. Juicy, cheesy, and seriously delicious. The burger actually reminded me of the old Steak 'n Shake burgers before they changed the recipe. And if you know, you know. Overall, very good food, good ingredients, and definitely worth the stop. I'll gladly defend that 7.8 pizza score , but the burger might have pushed the overall experience even higher. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in Ann Arbor!
