They keep pushing me out of my comfort zone and into a comprehensive understanding making music in the future, from blues to jazz to rock and a sprinkling of classical. I have also had four guitars and an amp worked on and/or set up, and the turn around time is very quick and repairs are spot on - I've even had friends take their guitars in to FS for repair as opposed to stores closer to where they live. There are classes to connect with other musicians too, which has really "amped" up my interest and understanding. I really love this place and feel like family.

Everything is done via email, super easy to pay via Venmo and confirmed after being scheduled then confirmed again the night before. I didn't have to ask them about the status because they proactively kept me up to date. I received a surprised text from my mom this morning with the picture of the sign in her yard. Woot!

With…read morefamily spread from Jacksonville down to Tampa and Fort Lauderdale, I make a point of visiting as many record stores as possible, and I can say with confidence that Vinyl Explosion stands in a league of its own. Although I was familiar with the Market at Marion, I'd never taken the time to explore it. When I finally discovered Vinyl Explosion last year, I was both thrilled--and a bit irritated--that I hadn't visited sooner. Since that first trip, I've returned more than ten times, and without fail, I always walk out with something special. The owner, Kurt, is highly knowledgeable about music and greets every customer with genuine enthusiasm. He gives a helpful overview of the layout, points out new arrivals, and is always available to assist with whatever you need. The store is packed with an exceptional variety of vinyl, along with a large selection of CDs, cassettes, posters, and other music-related finds. Best of all, the pricing is refreshingly fair. While many shops have inflated their prices, Kurt maintains honest, reasonable pricing across the board. The vinyl ranges from very good to mint condition, with the covers in great shape. There's also an enormous $1 section where you can find some old gems. Vinyl Explosion has quickly become my favorite record store in Florida. Whether you're a casual collector, a seasoned audiophile, or simply someone who appreciates a friendly, well-organized shop filled with great music, this place is absolutely worth the trip.
