Make sure before purchasing a large ticket item, no one else had already bought it. I just watch my daughters heart ache when we got a call from the rude manager telling her to bring back the china hutch she just purchased because someone else had already bought it but no SOLD signage was on it to begin with. read more

Very nice people work here and a great selection of women's clothing. I was able to get a new Cynthia Rowley dress, a BCBG dress, and a men's dress shirt for only $16! read more

Drop off service is quick and professional. Even available on Sundays! I feel pretty confident other thrift stores send the earnings to the pockets of mgmt. Thinking Amvets does what they say. I've shopped once or twice and prices a good thrift store prices read more

We have donated items to Amvets for several years and was going to donate a dining room set that included a China cabinet. On the scheduled pick up date the Amvets truck parked in the roadway in front of our house and the driver walked up the driveway and told me he wasn't allowed to back up driveways. I told him that I was aware they would not go up stairs but wasn't told that. If you have small items that you can deliver to their store to help the Vets please do but their truck service is not very useful in their mission. read more

I love this store. They good prices on their items and clothes. When you buy from the store it goes to a good cause the Veterans. read more

Very well pleased, I enjoyed walking around and looking at all the stuff. And found some pretty good stuff

A terrible place to work and shop. management is disrespectful and inconsiderate. assistant manager is a hot headed lady with temper tantrums comparable to that of a 3 year old. general manager barely knows what's going on. there is drama and bullying within the store that no one does anything about. read more

after working all day setting my items up outside, including a couch, no one ever showed up or called. couch was out in the rain storm because they never showed. said they were coming in 20 minutes, never called, never showed. Extremely frustrating and very disappointing. read more

I love bargain shopping. I have been at this thrift store a couple of times and I always find stuff that I need. The prices are very fair. I love what they stand for. The store is very organized and clean every time I go in there. All the workers are very nice. One of my favorite thrift stores to shop at! read more

I changed my mind and decided to give this store a second chance. Pricing hasn't changed, but attitude has. My clerk was friendly and helpful and she also gave me a card for the store. I'm not exactly sure how the card works yet, building points, coupons? Much better experience the second time around. Thank you! read more

I was passing by Alcoa and went to this fresh new AMVETS store in the area. It's very neat, well-organized and looks more like your regular target rather than a thrift store - with mirrors among the aisles all around the store. The staff is friendly and helpful, the clothes is plentiful. Keep it up! read more

Amvets - A very neat new thrift store - Thrift Stores Near Me - Alcoa, Tennessee

This review is due to the generous and kind nature displayed by Pam today to help a friend of mine that was in dire straights. We as his family were in South Carolina and unable to be local to assist our family member in Tennessee. Pam went over and above the call of duty to help today and she is an absolute angel. I cannot ever express my deepest gratitude for what you did Pam. You are in my prayers. Definition of a true Christian and a very kind and empathetic human being. Thank you again! read more

A reminder the purpose of this store for those that think the prices are too high. AMVETS Mission Statement: To enhance and safeguard the entitlements for all American Veterans who have served honorably and to improve the quality of life for them, their families, and the communities where they live through leadership, advocacy and services. read more

This is hands down one of the most expensive thrift stores I have ever been to. They must have someone there on eBay all day because everything seems to be priced at the top end of what eBay says. Whoever they have pricing their glass is delusional. These are retail/antique mall prices. Keep dreaming. The two antique malls down the road are better priced than this thrift store. Save your money and time and just go to an antique mall. Nothing thrifty about this place. read more

Great prices and awesome selection of home goods. Really nice stuff! Friendly cashiers wrapped all of my plates for me too. I just wish I didn't move after I discovered it :( read more

The cashier Louise was so friendly and helpful when we checked out. She patiently wrapped all the glassware we were purchasing. A pleasure to shop somewhere you leave feeling like a valued customer. read more

Great store but odd policy on store display. They will take stuff out of your cart that has a price tag and tell it it is store display. Also have stuff setting around that is not for sale. I wonder if they are holding stuff for employees. That is my experience at the Maryville Tn store. read more
