We purchased a washer dryer set and are very pleased. The sale was made by phone and they contacted me beyond the sale with details to make the delivery and set up go smoothly. The appliances work exactly as I expected. I did all my own research on the washer and only had them connect me to the exact model and matching dryer. I am currently going to research a dishwasher and possibly a refrigerator next. At delivery, the young men knew exactly what they needed to do for hook up and protected my floors as they brought in and took out the old machines. Very pleased. read more

Lazy wouldn't get up and wait on me until I said I'd like to buy the range.called a few days later to get parts was told by service department she would call me back later that day or in a next day. I wish I would have read their reviews before I bought this scratch and dent LG washer and dryer for just under 2k and one day after i bought and installed it the washer makes insanely load noise, so clearly the last person that bought it returned it and they sold it again to me as a scratch and dent. I call to contact sales person but she was not in so someone else just want to have weeks long texting dialogue in which I told her that I have no interest in having a repair man come out for a two thousand dollar and alleged brand new washer and dryer that I want a NEW one , not used repair one , if i wanted that I would have bought one on facebook for $ 300 . Customer service is fine...until they have your $$. Ordered cooktop which was to arrive in 2 weeks.(Fridge was already in stock) After almost 4 weeks I called about delivery and was told it was in so they could schedule delivery - three weeks out. Was told installers would call when on their way. Arrived without notice at 5 pm. One guy got to work installing, other stood and told jokes. Refused to help my husband place used fridge. When I called with concerns, our sales-person she said, "That shouldn't happen. I'll talk to my manager and make this right. I'll call you right back." That's was six weeks ago. The sales person provided the worst communicator/customer service i've experienced in years. He a) promised to call the dealer to find out when the appliance was to be shipped, b) promised to call me when the appliance arrived and 3) promised me a delivery date. a) never communicated with the dealer (or if he did he never shared that information) b) never called to let me know when the appliance arrived and c) did not call me to let me know of delivery date confirmation. This is a business to avoid at all costs. Their tactics are to threaten and intimidate customers if they have any problems with what they purchased. We bought a range and within the first month had a repair man there for top of range with silicone completely dissolved and small pieces of rubber all over the top. This range arrived with discoloration on the glass and uneven heating issues that were a safety issue. After their 2nd repair man came, the gasket was loosened. We also made several calls to LG at the same time asking for a replacement. Instead between first and second repair man we received a call from Rice Lake Manager telling my husband to "shut up " and listen...then he handed the phone to me and she told us that we would be arrested for "stealing". This type of behavior continued, even after we had sent pictures. The dispute was closed in our favor and we have been re-imbursed for the range. They have made no effort to pick up defective range. We will never deal with this company again and will not be buying any LG products because of this. We had wanted to buy local but now will not. I wouldn't buy a toaster from this place. Ordered a new dryer from them 2 1/2 weeks ago. emailed to see where is was, was told by sales person it was shipped to a different location but they would get it to chippewa. Wait 2-3 more days and now the unit was sent to another location, which I agreed to go pick it up. When I go and pick it up its a floor model. I emailed my sales rep who said he would check where the one he ordered was. Turns out he lied the entire time, sold me a floor model that I would not have had to wait for and was offered no discount on or solution to. Purchased a dishwasher and it never worked right out of the box. They would not replace it. Said it was up to Whirlpool's warranty. Been 3 months now and were still waiting on backordered parts to "fix" a dishwasher that never worked! Will never buy from Amundson's Appliance again! I believe in supporting local stores as much as possible. We recently purchased a freezer from them, had it in stock, and had no problems. We were then in the market for a new refrigerator. They did not have the model we wanted in stock, so needed to order. It would take 4-6 months to get the refrigerator in. We did not have an issue with the wait. However, when I asked how much down, they wanted 100% payment to order. I was willing to put $500 down on a $2800 order. I was told that full payment is corporate policy. So, they make the interest on my money while I wait, or if they happen to go out of business, they have my money, and I have no refrigerator. We let the salesperson know that was unacceptable and left. Went to BestBuy, had the refrigerator in stock, no issues. A dumb, and greedy corporate policy cost them a sale, a previous satisfied customer, and any future business from me. Also, I will not be recommending them to anyone. read more

I am going to take a stand and bring something to light. I refuse to stay quiet and just let this go....As most of you know, my daughter works at McDonald's. Today, I get a phone call, notifying me of an individual who came in to her work and verbally/racially assaulted her, because of her being black. Other customers, who witnessed this take place and other people as well, came forward immediately and identified the individual and what he said. I went and spoke with my daughter and said people, right away. Come to find out, the person who did this to my daughter, is the owner of a very well known business, here in Rice Lake. This person, made comments about McDonald's hiring my black daughter and that she shouldn't be there, etc. So, I drove over to said business, with phone in hand and had a conversation with this individual. Meanwhile, recording everything. This man admitted being the person who said and did this, to my daughter. As soon as I started asking him why he thought it was acceptable to racially/verbally assault my 14 year old daughter, he got very upset and started sticking his finger in my face. Again, I tell him what he did was absolutely unacceptable and that he needed to apologize and make things right. I told him I was not going to allow him to get away with this and if he refused to do the right thing, then I would take further action. But, that I would be willing to settle this, if he would apologize, etc. This man got even more angry, said he's allowed to say what he wants and then turned away from me. He then stated that he was going to go back down to my daughters work, since we decided to try and hold him accountable for what he did. I told him he should be ashamed of himself and that he severely destroyed my daughters heart and feelings today. This man then yelled at me some more, then walked away from me. I then left his business and drove back to my daughters work. I went inside and sat down for a couple minutes. Low and behold who comes walking in, but the same man. I picked up my phone and started recording again. Immediately my daughters manager grabs my daughters hand, walks her over to the man and demands him to apologize to her. Of course, this did not go over well with him. He actually starts trying to defend racially assaulting her and why he made the comments about her being black, etc. He starts talking about how he's been in business for over 45 years and how he's never had someone disrespect him, by standing up to him. All the while, sticking his finger in everyone's face, raising his voice and more. Again, my daughters manager asks him if he's going to apologize or not. Long story short, a few more things were said back and forth. Then, my daughter finally spoke up. She started telling him, how what he did to her affected her and how it made her feel. This man finally threw his hands up, told me that I shouldn't have stuck my nose in and stepped up for my daughter the way I did. He said McDonald's has a decision to make, about my black daughter working there, then walked out. With all of this being said, I want to first, personally acknowledge how McDonald's stood behind my daughter and defended her the whole way through. They were not going to tolerate or allow this man, to act like this. That says a lot about them, their business, etc. Lastly, for those of you wondering who this person was and what business he owns...it was the owner, of Amundsons Appliance. Not the son, but the old man. Let me make something clear, I am not trying to shame this person, or his business. I gave this man every opportunity possible, to fix this, without me addressing it publicly. He refused. Not only that, he took it further and wanted to defend himself, behaving like that. I am disgusted. I am so sick to my stomach, that this grown man took it upon himself, to attack my daughter like this. Shame on him. I can't imagine how many other people, he's ever done this too. I will always stick up for my children. I will never allow anyone, to treat my daughter, how that man did. She's an incredible human being, with a heart of gold. And she deserves to be able to work, without having things like this done to her, let alone at all. Maybe this man will think, about how he treats people after this. Maybe he won't. But at least he knows now, that not everyone is going to accept that from him anymore. As I stated in the beginning of this post, I am going to take a stand. And that's what I'm doing. Don't waste your time or your money. Shop elsewhere. We are still waiting for a replacement refrigerator skin, going on a year now. Horribly rude customer service at both stores. The 2 men who installed our gas stove did not know what they were doing. I stood and witnessed the one saying to the other, "No, that's not right!! You did that wrong!" - not comforting things to hear during a natural gas stove install!! I requested their service technician come and inspect the job as I was afraid to use the stove. We've purchased many appliances from other small businesses over the years and have never experienced a store like this. I cannot for the life of me understand how they are still in business. I have been waiting almost a year to post this, but it took that long for Amundson's Appliance to get us refrigerator doors that weren't defective. I won't try to sway anyone one way or the other, but our experience with them was so bad that we can't do business with them anymore. I believe in supporting small businesses but they need to hold themselves accountable, especially with all of the online competition. Horrible people! Terrible service, and incompetent staff. The redheaded salesman who helped me did not know anything about the appliances he is selling and was extremely rude and impatient.
