Rice Lake is an hour drive for us, but TWT Furniture has become our go-to place for quality…read morefurniture. We first drove up there to check out new recliners and comfortable chairs for sitting and reading, and on our first visit we spent half a day trying out different chairs and learning a lot about the Stressless line of chairs. We ended up buying 2 recliners and have found them to be the most comfortable chairs we've ever owned or used. When another family member was thinking about chairs for his house, we took him to TWT and he spent an afternoon learning about chairs and selecting what felt best to him. The people at TWT really know their stuff, and helped us learn about the differences in chair dimensions and design that make a difference for our comfort, depending on our size and body dimensions. I never had that information in any other furniture store. I'm writing this sitting in my Stressless recliner that I bought last year at TWT Furniture. (They no longer have a cafe but they gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat lunch.)

Love this place. It's got a great furniture collection (I…read morethink I'm writing this review from a couch purchased there) an awesome selection of brick-a-brack and knick-knacks that would make your grandma swoon, and a fan-freakin-tastic little cafe within the store. And I mean within the store. There are still items for sale in the place in which you eat. But you'd hardly notice because the soup and sandwhich you're lunching on is blowing your mind. Well maybe not that good. But easily one of the better in a 60 mile radius. And now that I think about it, that candle holder would look great on our mantle. Anyway, love this place. And love even more that it's like THE anchor that still keeps Rice Lake's downtown from crumbling into a depressing object-lesson in big box capitalism.

Recently, I went to Home Depot to purchase a new screen door latch to replace the previous one that…read morebroke in sub-zero weather. This latch had served me faithfully for over a quarter of a century, but she finally gave up the ghost. So I spent an hour researching what the best options were available to me on the Web, and decided that the storm latches from Wright Products warranted further investigation. Armed with this information, I headed off to the local Home Depot store in Canton, Michigan, which is located on U.S. Highway 12. Thankfully, the friendly staff at the store was able to point me in the right direction to the Hardware section. After spending 10 minutes browsing the offerings from Wright Products, I was able to find an almost identical match that I needed. So I purchased model VC333BL, and brought it home with me. The installation of this door latch was really straight forward. Wright's storm door latches are made from heavy-duty aluminum, not cheap plastic like other competitors use. What amazed was that the instructions on the back of the packing carton were easy to read and follow step-by-step. This is a real plus in this day and age, when so many products and technical manuals are produced in countries where English is a secondary language. Thankfully, I was able to use the original holes in my storm door to mount the new latch. Installation was a breeze and only it took me 30 minutes to lineup everything and make some minor adjustments. However, I ran into a slight problem. While lining up the VC333BL latch, the spring that goes in behind the door button fell off and hit the ground. To make matters worse, I accidentally stepped on the spring ruining it. This minor accident really bummed me out for a while, so I decided to contact Wright Products and obtain a replacement spring. I fired off an e-mail the next day, and received a reply back from Nicole Carter, who is a Customer Care Specialist at Wright Products. She replied back and I gave her my contact information. She promised a replacement spring in 7-10 business days. However, when I received a box from FedEx, I was shocked that they sent me not just a new spring, but a completely brand-new door latch at no cost. Now this is what I call customer service!! I will be a solid Wright Products customer from hereon out. Furthermore, I highly recommend them, and award their outstanding products and customer service by giving them a 5-star award here on Yelp.

Well unfortunately it appears that the company is out of business, they cannot be reached by…read moreinternet or telephone. I recently purchased a Wright Products Co storm door closer at Home Depot in Chicago and was very happy with my purchase until a few days ago. The door closer jammed in the open position. I've since read about the same problem with the door closer on the internet. The door closer in question functioned properly for about two months. The previous door closer functioned properly for about 8 years. Oh well, guess I'll have to find the receipt and go back to home depot.
