We happened to book the tour on the 3rd day of the new season, so there were only three of us, which was nice! I highly recommend. Oh, and if you are driving, there is a public pay lot on the right, just as you enter the square by Alisson's Restaurant. It fills up, so get there before lunch and snag a spot.

I checked online and was happily surprised that there was room for their next sailing. The check-in process was easy after booking our tickets online. We went to the booth and they handed us our tickets. Boarding was also an easy process and soon we were sailing away. We chose to sit on the left of the boat to have more of a shaded area during our 4 PM sailing. It turned out to be perfect as many of the landmarks happened to be on the left side of the boat. We were also able to see the ones mentioned on the right when the boat turned around as we chose not to get up from our seats during the 1 hour and 15 minutes of sailing. It was a super pleasant day as we enjoyed being out on the water and listened to great commentary. There was a lot of history and general information that was super interesting. Staff was super nice and helpful. This was a great way to end a beautiful day in Portsmouth!

This was in the middle of a 2 month trip and we simply needed an answer, so we could make other arrangements if we couldn't get in. I called and emailed Red Apple 3-4 times a week. Silent for 6 months. Then when they finally returned calls, they did t go in order received. One friend got a call and got a poor site, with his first call to them two months after all of our calls. When they did call back,the woman was incredibly rude. She offered me the only site available and said, "we have regular returning customers", who we book earlier than our normal calendar and they book a year in advance. This would have been nice to know. My discussion with this woman, wasn't about the site, but was how they advertise. She wanted to argue and could only repeat that she was NOW returning my call (months later and weeks after the park was open) and said "take it or leave it. Traveling with 5 others, we had to leave it and found an amazing RV Park a few miles away. The employee there welcomed all of us. What a contrast. Especially after booking at 25 other rv Parks on this trip. I had heard this is a nice park. I don't doubt that, but what a disappointment. No zero's available for this park, but def zero for their reservations and favoritism system.

The staff was very friendly and organized. My children are 8 and 9 years old and they enjoyed themselves. I think this is the most quiet campground I have ever been to. Seemed like about 1/2 the guest if not more we're older couples from Quebec. They very much kept to themselves but would still say hello from time to time. I'm not sure this would be the place for you if you like blasting music and being rowdy or have very loud children. The pool was very nice and kept very clean. The playground could definitely use a overhaul.. not much to it at the moment... but non the less my kids still had fun. The campground is a short ride to the beach. However it was so nice I didn't really feel the need to leave. We will definitely be going back again!

The sites are…read moreleveled and filled with crushed stone, the electrical box is placed perfect for a quick part and level, with giving you use of the entire space provided. The grounds is so well maintained, the bathrooms are beautiful with outdoor hand washing sinks in one side and dish washing sinks on the other end. Showers are coin but it's only 50 cents for 5 minutes which is MORE than enough time. The showers are small but just enough of what you need to get the job done. The only complaint I would have would be that the shower heads are not adjustable and I am short so I felt like I was getting water out of the shower and directly in my face. But water was hot and so soft. Pet friendly, and neighbor friendly, I felt like everyone we walked by said good morning and was sooo kind. Camp store is greatly priced, and had just what you might need if you forget something. Will deliver wood directly to your site for 7$ a bundle. Maintained quiet hour, driving around to check at 10 to make sure no fires are left unattended. I just loved it! I can't say that I have found a campground yet where I'm like "I need to go back" but this one I did. It's so close to so many local beaches, shops, NH, it's perfectly located , the playground is old but it's just enough, and the POOL is amazing with a super cute gazebo right next to it with chairs and tables. It was plenty of room for one person but two adults, might feel a bit cramped in the room I was given. A few improvements would easily bump this to a 5 star review. The pros include: - The limited staff were very friendly. - My king room was clean, comfy and quiet. - Parking and breakfast is free. - Great location to walk downtown area. The cons: - I booked my reservation (direct through Hyatt partnership) the day before arrival but upon check-in there were issues it eventually got sorted out. - Elevator is out of order as of mid-March. - Limited staff, so basement bar hours aren't exact. - Room TVs are smart, no cable, so they depend on Internet and my tv lost connection a few times. All in all, the charm of the building and the pros mentioned, far out weigh the few cons. If I ever return to Portsmouth, I'd gladly stay here again.
