It is clean, I feel safe and have never experienced is sues with my car. I have also used the long term parking for free when taking a trip via Lambert Airport. Since I have a monthly metro pass, I was able to park for a week for free.

East Riverfront may shorten my total travel time to/from St. Louis a bit, when I'm just trying to get to a game and avoid downtown parking. But, if I'm going to pay, then I'd rather get a little more of a ride. Often, there's a real live person to sell you a ticket. Otherwise, it's easy to use one of the automated ticket dispensers, $2.25 one way.

It was clean, moderately efficient and no one bothered us. I say moderate because the Blue Line was down for maintenance and this put a sort of kink in our plans to get to St. Louis. Prices were the same as those others: $4.50 for a round trip ticket...although every time I use the metro, no one ever checks to see if I validated my ticket or even purchased one.

This trail is 15 miles from start to finish. We began in the middle, we rode out to SWIC, the junior college in Belleville, Took a water break and then biked to the other end, which is near the west end of Belleville. It was wide enough for two bikes to meet and runners had plenty of room. This was a nice easy trail.

Entered the Amtrak Train Station in St. Louis Mo and it was horrible…read more Boarded a 8:00am train from stl to chi expecting to be able to private s snack or something during the ride but there was only. We were informed that the riders in the rooms on the lower level are guaranteed food but not for people in coach. I should have gotten something to eat before boarding but street much investigation I was informed that there is a diner on the train where food can be purchased only to get in here and be told the food is only for people in the rooms, not coach. We are in the last train and there is an announcer but we can't here anything that's he's saying, it just sounds mumbled. I am a diabetic and am worrying about my sugar levels dropping to low since the only thing I've had since last night is a bag of chips. Please do not get in the train expecting to be able to purchase food because there is none to purchase, nothing. This ride has proven to me that the train is just 1 step above Greyhound and at jest with Greyhound you can get off and get food at the stops. Never again.

There are separate entrances depending on which direction you are traveling, so check to see if you are entering the westbound or eastbound entrance. Given the location to the Arch, I found this station pretty sketchy. It is operational and not derelict, but it is in need of a deep clean as it has the foul odor of urine. I avoided lugging my carry-on on its floors and opted to carry it to avoid its stench. Wait times for a train are about 20 minutes, so I would check the train schedule to spend as little time here as necessary or get on at another stop that is not as suspect. The Convention Center stop is marginally better if you do not mind walking a few blocks north.

Welcome to downtown Saint Louis! This station is one of the only two in the entire Metrolink…read morenetwork that has an escalator (the other is at Convention Center). It is the station closest to the famous Gateway Arch and there is signage pointing the way. It was opened in 1993. There are the usual ticket vending machines. Metrolink is a proof-of-payment system meaning that there are no turnstiles and you must validate your ticket before boarding the train. The station has side platforms, which means that the doors will open on the right. It is on the section of the Metrolink that services both the Red and Blue Lines, where it is between Stadium (towards Airport and Shrewsbury-Landsdowne) and Convention Center (towards Shiloh-Scott and Fairview Heights). The station is fully disabled accessible though there are multiple exits and only some are so configured. At street level, you'll find apartments, office buildings and retail shopping.
