I've been banking with GTE for 5 years now. This location has had its ups and downs. A few years…read moreago we opened an account with another credit union and started using that bank as our primary but when we became unhappy with that bank, we came back to using GTE full time. We were quite put off by the tellers being removed. It was pretty frustrating to have to go into the bank and stand in line with 2 kids to talk to a screen instead of being able to pull to the drive through. However, we learned that the reason they took actual tellers out of the bank was to keep them safe from bank robbers. They finally put a virtual teller drive up in the drive through by the ATM which I am SO happy about! Now I can keep my snoozing kids in the truck and drive through like normal. We met with a financial advisor about a personal loan and he then went through everything we had to see if they could get us better rates and payments on. We really appreciated this and did not expect it. They did start holding checks deposited in the ATMs, but you can just go to the virtual teller line to avoid this. The transition to virtual was pretty rough for this bank, and we were pretty unhappy with service a while back, but they have redeemed themselves. At least for now.
