I came to this AMPM around 2 AM and the doors were locked. This isn't the first issue I've had at this location, but it was definitely the last straw for me. Almost every time I come here, there are people just hanging around right in front of the entrance, including employees. It feels more like a bar entrance than a convenience store. It's uncomfortable and not inviting at all. Tonight, finding the doors locked at that hour was extremely frustrating. It seems like the staff just do whatever they want, including locking the doors whenever they feel like it. I should have taken a picture, but I was honestly so upset that I just left. If this is a franchise location, the owner needs to be aware of what's going on. If it's corporate owned, then corporate needs to look into why there are always people lingering at the front door and why the store appears to close randomly. This AMPM Store has a very RUDE Clerk Bonnie woman who disrespected customers even old retired 69 yrs old. She made me fall in line and when i get in line she refused to pay me my lotto winnings. Me and my mom went to mexico and on our way back one the freeway my mom needed to go to the restroom she is a senior citizen so she can't really hold her pee for long. We exited the freeway made our way to two fast food places that were closed so we spotted this ARCO gas station my mom got out of the car and raced to the restroom it was locked. So raced to the the counter there was a heavy set brunette her name was Christy, and she said "I'm sorry I just cleaned the restroom and I can't open the door until the next 15 to 17 minutes", I said "my mom really needs to go" she said "15 to 17 mintues that it has to dry" by the time I went behind the ARCO to tell my mom she had already releaved herself standing up in front of the door. I went back inside the ARCO fuming mad because my mom just peed herself and I told her "I just want to let you know there is a big puddle of piss in front of the restroom door because my mom just peed herself because you wouldn't open the door for her". So we headed back to the car as we are sitting my mom soaked with piss she opens the door for another customer no more than 5 minutes went by so her bullshit 15 to 17 minute rule went to shit. So bottom line is she will open the restroom for anyone except little old ladies. I then go back in the ARCO and start talking pictures of her because I'm going to report her, I go back to the car and she chases me says "you can't take pictures of me with out my permission thats messed up", then I said "no what you did is messed up by not opening the restroom for a little old lady I'm going to report you", then she said "I can't open the door when the restroom is still wet the customers could fall", but the customers can still fall becasue my mom peed all over the ground so it would be the same thing. read more

I went in there to buy gas on 9-30-2020 and the worker was in the back room using his breath to blow up packages for the food they sell in the oven. I found this alarming considering covid and his breath on the package and food that goes inside of it. Once he saw me staring at him he started to open the packages by hand instead, don't eat the food in the ovens that they prepare! read more

A gas station I mainly went to when I lived around here and I can happily say I don't miss it at all. Customer service was a mixed bag. Some employees were nice and some were just awful. Last time I was here I wanted to go off on this Muslim cashier for giving me an attitude but of course I acted on my Brain than my emotions. This place can get crazy filled I sometimes find myself either gassing at another location or coming back later. The biggest criticism I have are the other customers. Some will just drive around taking your spot or cut you just to fill up gas first. SMH. I'm not surprised since this is in a ghetto area and most of the people have terrible lives with no hope of changing it. You're better off getting gas somewhere else. read more

Probably the rudest, incompetent gas station I've ever been to. They were out of gas, but there is no sign telling customers. About 10 of us went inside when the pumps gave an error, and they were laughing at everyone try to get gas. I asked if the pumps were working andthat's when they told us that they were out of gas. I suggested that they put a sign outside since it was very busy and the guy said "oh thanks buddy, we never thought of that" in a sarcastic voice. read more

Recently went to this arco and they had a rigged gas pump. The meter kept running even though no gas was being pumped. Even when I pulled the pump out of my gas tank the meter kept running. This is unacceptable it takes 12 gallons till a pump stops fueling my car. This pump kept going till 16 gallons when I had to force the nozzle back into the pump. Beware of #5. This Arco is the most expensive Arco in the area. There are others that are next to the freeway as well but their prices aren't as high as this one. Even when gas prices are obviously declining this Arco doesn't lower theirs. When they finally do it isn't much. The nearest competitor is not close by. It is the only one in the neighborhood so they take advantage. read more

I too had a similar experience with the cash machine. The Employee that was working the counter was very rude to me also and refused to check the machine. My advice is to not shop their. It Is clear the owners do not care about their business or their customers. I have further filed a complaint with ampm's corporate offices as well as to the BBB. read more

So I purchased gas using cash at the machine outside. I clearly pressed the numbers correctly. I went to pump gas and the pump did not dispense anything. I went inside and informed the individual behind the register named Dani. I had stated that the gas pump did not dispense my gas. He stated that I pressed the numbers incorrectly and put the gas on the wrong pump. Another individual used the pump and had taken my gas. I know for a fact I did not make the mistake. I complained and asked for the manager. After ten minutes of refusing to give me the managers number I kept stating I knew he was related to the manager, of course I was stereotyping this place as liquor stores and gas stations are all ran by middle eastern families. Fortunately, for me my judgement was correct. The manager answered his phone and spoke to me. His name was Wally apparently! I explained the circumstances in chronological order. After saying that this happened on a regular occasion, despite his family member Dani telling me that this Never happens and the machines were perfect they refused to give me any gas. I did not even want a refund. The manager Wally said if I came in the next day and he saw me then maybe he could work with me to give me a coffee or something. I do NOT want a 15 dollar cup of coffee and I explained how my looks should not determine me receiving a item I clearly purchased if they wanted to review the tapes. He delivered no customer service and to my surprise he even said that my people were always trying to run a scam or steal from his facility. My people? Yes folks, he said your people! I even said "Isnt that a racist statement?" He said another racial slur along the lines of a dirty spic and told me he did not care about losing my business. Please folks, I would not invest this much time to write a report had Wally even attempted to service me. I say shop at the shell, chevron, or even the 7 eleven down the street. This was clearly poor customer service and the fact that the demographics around here is clearly Mexican I think we should ban together and NOT shop this place. Wally is clearly a racist individual who is more concerned about a extra few dollars then to provide customer service. Never the less I will file a complaint with corporate as well.
