Mike and his team were great. I called late on a Saturday because my AC was out, he was at my house early on Sunday and fixed my problem. Unfortunately as I somewhat expected, I needed a new system. He explained it might last a few days or a few years, but I had been having troubles so I went with a new system. He did a fix on my old system and didn't charge me for the service call (on a Sunday morning!) or the part. Great service and fast response. read more

They said it's $150 just to show up but if they find something you won't get charged the $150 just whatever the problem is well I had a clogged valve that's all this guy Mike shows up for literally 10 minutes I swear I might be even giving him a minute talked to me didn't check a thing and said it's $350 cause it's a service call I said no thank you but still had to pay him $150 for gracing me with his presence stay away!! I am writing this review about AMPLUS AIRCONDITIONING. We received a good deal from AMPLUS AIR on a new united 3 years ago. Unit worked fine the first year. This service did not come easy, and had to go "around and around" with the owner to get the promised service after the installation. We have a further problem with the air conditioner the last year or two. Whenever the temperature outside hits the 90's or above, the unit stops cooling the house. Never had a problem like this before. Had the unit serviced in April before the hot season, so we would be trouble-free when the heat of summer came. What a joke. The first week when temperatures were high, it took several phone calls to get a service tech out to look at the unit. House was in the high 90's. The tech could not explain this strange occurrence. The owner himself came a week or two ago, but still the unit stops cooling when the temperature outside is in the high 90's. The owner, who still calls me by my wrong name, told me he was out recently, and I need to have "the duct work checked, or check the insulation underneath my home!" Already had another HVAC Company do both things, and told me AMPLUS lack of fixing the problem was incomprehensible! Furthermore, they said that the air conditioner should do it's job, and cool the house, no matter what the temperature outside is, and they suggested I go back and deal with the installation Company, which I tried to do. I wish to let others know that, if you are considering a "reliable" and "professional" Air Conditioning Company, AMPLUS AIR should not be your choice! The owner (Michael Perez) is terrible to deal with, is unable to fix things when there are problems, and "threatens" to forward things on to his attorney if you dare to complain! AMPLUS AIR is not the Company you want to deal with, if you have any problems or issues after they install a unit. Their "service after the sale" is sparse, ineffective in solving issues, and the owner is argumentative if you reject his incompetent and mis-guided opinions. If I had it to do over, I would have chosen a different Company than AMPLUS AIR. If you are smart, stay away from this incompetent Company, or dealing with the owner! read more

Wish I could have given zero stars. After meeting with them we received the wrong unit and had to wait two days for the correct unit to arrive. They forgot to install our thermostat that was promised. After two scheduled appointments that were missed without any notice, they finally arrived an hour after our scheduled time. We were promised a permit the day of installation. As of today, two and a half months later, we still have no permit and cannot have our unit inspected.Trying to contact Mike Perez is difficult. His inbox is always full and even through text, he sometimes does not get back to you. There is always an excuse as someone is on vacation or they are behind. I would not recommend. read more

I had my AC unit installed 3 years ago, this was my second service call. the fan stopped outside, I knew it would probably be the capacitor that is under warranty, and did my research on cost of labor. It should be between $60-120 Max. I was charged $285 for 15 minutes worth of work. Really disappointed today. I did not expect to be charged that amount. read more

I have an air-conditioning heat pump that was purchased and installed by Service America last November (still under warranty). I called Service America since I was not able to get heat. I learned that they went out of business, and was told if I wanted service, I'd need to contact someone else. I checked the manufacturer of my unit and googled local area contractors who service this brand. Amplus Air-Conditioning Contractors popped up. I Yelped them and saw they had very positive feedback. I called right away and spoke to Charlitta. She was very professional and helpful, setting up an appointment with a service tech for the very next day. I was especially impressed with her use of technology and setting my appointment up online right away! I also received a text with the appointment day/time and the service tech coming. Today, I received a text that Johnny, the service tech, was on his way, 1,1/2 hours early. You don't see that very often, and Ihappy to see that. Johnny is a true professional, courteous and personable as well as respectful. He immediately went to work. He is very knowledgeable and knows exactly how to diagnose an issue/ problem. He also knows who to call to get additional information needed, to verify and confirm his approach, before proceeding. That gave me an added level of confidence in his abilities. Johnny explained my options and Johnny indicated that I'd need a new thermostat as well. He's quite a salesman too! He recommended just the right thermostat for me. I googled it and saw that it was the best for 2018 and would work with my WiFi and Alexa! I purchased the thermostat at amazon immediately and Johnny said he'd return next week to do the installation. This is the kind of service I like, from someone who obviously enjoys his job and shows a genuine concern for ensuring that customers are happy and satisfied. In today's world of so much competition, having a service tech like Johnny is exactly what good company's pay big money to keep. I also appreciated his integrity and honesty. Johnny is clearly an asset to Amplus and I recommend Amplus to anyone looking for good service. I also appreciated Johnny's presenting a possible maintenance plan that I could purchase, which I will consider. I'm now hoping this review gets me a "friendly and loyal customer discount" on his next visit. . See you next week Johnny. read more

did not get good customer service. very unhappy. technician had to come 3 x to fix/ install new trane unit. apparently water was seeping in and shorting out unit. tech needed to move drainage piece up ( with wires exposed ), then unit was ok. usually you use water hose or wet vac on the outside drainage to keep algae from growing and clogging unit. you cannot do that the way this unit is set up. i am uncomfortable the that multiple wires are still exposed and need to be covered. because they did not install correctly, i had no a/c for a night and a day. i am ill with cancer but was forced to cancel a very important appointment as mike, the owner, did not schedule me as priority. this is horrible customer service and to make matters worse, mike, the owner called me while i was driving and working and accused me of "hurting babies" as a result of any negative feedback. incredibly inappropriate comment! this has had a ripple effect and now i have to wait 6 more weeks for very important medical appointment. very avoidable, very preventable. i hold lowes and amplus a/c accountable. do not use either company. read more
