This one happened to have a brunchfast poker pre-game gathering plus Casino Magic on hand. With three tables of action, Casino Magic's friendly, professionally dressed dealers kept the flow moving along. Liz was great, especially keeping our party host in check during the game. Mark was timely, making sure blinds escalated so that we could narrow down the field at a reasonable pace before kickoff. Although I was simply a party guest, I thought having table dealers from Casino Magic to help facilitate a big part of the Super Bowl party really elevated the experience. I didn't make it to the final table, but at least I wasn't the first to get knocked out of the match. I was, however, reminded of what a terrible poker player I am. Good times. Thanks to Gabe for letting us party with y'all.

I'm giving Gypsy Treasure a four-star review as they are a valuable community resource since they…read moreare one of the few costume stores open year-round, and they also provide some theater-quality makeup with staff that actually know how to use it. I have been to Gypsy Treasure several times in the past, but this was my first visit since they have moved to the Grossmont Center location (apparently about five years ago). I came in about 5 days before Halloween, primarily in search of makeup and a crown for my Day of the Dead festival look. When I walked in, the place was pretty hopping. However, I was quickly greeted at the makeup counter and walked through the white face paint options, and given information about some of the various color palettes. After some conversation and deliberation, I chose a white water-based face paint and a couple of color palettes. One was glow-in-the-dark. I then asked about flower crowns, and was surprised to find that they only had one. It was one of those cheesy costume kits that came with skeleton hand gloves and skull earrings, neither of which I wanted. However, the price was pretty inexpensive, so I purchased it just for the crown. I looked around for a hat for my husband's costume, but couldn't find exactly what he wanted, though they had some pretty unique hats. Gypsy Treasure has a large selection of costumes for rent, which appeared to be of much higher quality than the costumes for sale. I saw several cute vintage dresses and hats for women, as well as some pretty elaborate costumes. I did feel that several of the costume items in the front of the store were the same quality you would get from any Halloween store. However, I would definitely return for makeup, or if I had costume needs outside of the Halloween season.

Chris gave me suggestions (a boa) instead of a shawl. The black gloves are stretchy so one size fits all. Highly recommend Gipsy Treasure for fancy dress parties or Halloween.

Since they changed management 1 year…read moreago, business has not been like it has been run in the past (I used them two previous times without any issues). They ruined my party because they did not show up on the designated date of my event, they did not call to confirm, and when I tried to call them, their answering machine said they were out of town, your reservation will be continued, and if you want to make a reservation, leave a message. At that point, I was under the assumption my reservation was "being continued". It became quite clear it wasn't when it was 15 min before my party started. They did not leave another phone number to call to make sure our reservation would be honored. I booked two months in advance to ensure I had the pick of the jump I wanted. I booked online and it said I'd be contacted within 24 hours. I was never contacted so I called them. The guy I spoke to said it showed I booked it and was surprised his wife did not contact me. He assured me we were good to go on my reservation. I later spoke to his wife about the theme I wanted for the jump. Not exactly sure what happened other than when I called upon their return, she said she called to confirm prior to the event, spoke to my husband, and he indicated there was no need for a jump. They never had my husband's number, but she insisted she spoke to him. Later she said, she must have miss-dialed and explained why he sounded confused. Don't you think she would have followed up with another call? Apparently not. Needless to say, my party was ruined, my son was very disappointed, and I will not use them again, EVER.

From the very beginning, he was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. He took the time to understand the vibe that my sister wanted for her wedding and he absolutely nailed it. The music during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flowed perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long--which says everything! He read the crowd so well and kept the energy up without ever being over-the-top. It was a small wedding (only 30 guests) and my sister was so worried that nobody would be dancing. That was not the case! So many of our guests commented on how great the music was and they were so disappointed for the night to end. We also appreciated how smoothly Manny handled announcements and transitions throughout the evening. Everything felt effortless and fun. If you're looking for a DJ who will help make your wedding unforgettable, we highly recommend Manny from Sound Illusions.

This woman should not be in business! We used her for the linens at our wedding and it has been a…read morenightmare! Do not give her your money and especially not your credit card info. She has earned every bit of her "F" rating through the BBB. My wife was referred by an acquaintance who unfortunately had not finished her business at the time and ended up getting screwed too. Roxanne was given our credit card # to make a deposit of $500 towards our $666 quote that we authorized through email. A couple weeks later we had an unauthorized charge of almost $500 and had to contact her to figure out what it was. She stated that it was for the remaining balance of our bill and a $300 deposit that would be returned. We were uneasy but it was too late to find another linen rental for our wedding. My wife asked twice for a contract that was never delivered to her. On our wedding day the linens we received were not good quality, had tears, weren't how they were described, and the colors of our yellow napkins came in about 3 different shades. We survived and had a beautiful day despite this disappointment. I would have given 3 stars had the story stopped here and we got our deposit back. My wife and I were the last ones to leave our venue and we know all linens were collected and put in the return bags. Our close friend dropped off the linens to Roxanne's garage that was unorganized, chaotic, and our return was dumped into a bin with many others returns. Hmmm??? After we got back from our honeymoon we noticed another charge to our card for $415 but we never had any communication from Roxanne about additional charges. So we contacted her and she claimed we lost numerous pieces, stained the napkins with lipstick and wine (isn't that what napkins are for?) and burned some items for an additional damage total of $715. I'm not saying some of this may not be true and we probably would have let her have our security deposit just to be done with her. But she was charging us more than double our original quote! My wife asked her to meet in the middle somewhere to settle but she wouldn't budge. We just didn't trust her anymore so we fought it through our credit card company and won our deposit and damage charges back. Oh it doesn't stop here!!! I found out we won our dispute because I saw a charge on my card for $715 from ALL SAN DIEGO PARTY LINENS. I contacted my CC company and they notified me it was a new charge and the dispute was resolved in our favor. SHE CHARGED OUR CARD AGAIN after she lost just because she had our #. Not only is she trying to steal from us but she is obviously challenged in the smarts department! Really?!? She made 3 unauthorized charges without ever contacting us. Please friends don't do business with her and save yourself the headache. I had to cancel my card so she can''t go on a shopping spree and I'm going to file a report with the PD for attempted theft. She doesn't deserve to be in business!

Glad all she can do is flag reviews on yelp. All of 1 star reviews show that I'm not the only one with such horrible service. She replied 8 months after my review thinking I would not remember everything that happened. We called Roxanne the morning of setting up the wedding. These "extra linens" were NOT RECEIVED. How do we return linens that we never received? We called her multiple as soon as we started setting up, not days after. She was more than welcome to come by and count them herself, but she was too busy hanging up on us when we tried calling or not answering at all. I recommended this company twice because I give people a chance to do better business. First time around, there was only an issue of a run around. Second time around was worse and cost us money. She thanks me for referring her twice and laughs it off. Her customer service at its best. I will let the other 1 star reviews help speak for this company's reputation as well as the F on BBB..
