I am very allergenic to mosquitoes and bought a home with a huge yard and wanted to be able to get out in it without winding up with tons of mosquito bites. It's my responsibility to provide a pest free living space, which I pride myself in never having roaches! So, seeing them was a shock. Safe Haven Pest Control was here for only 20 minutes and they charged me over $200!!! He said that it doesn't work right away, so if you see anymore, don't call us. It takes about 90 days for our products to take affect. Well, after these kids moved out 90 days later, we went in to clean and found two more cockroaches!!!!! This company can't kill cockroaches! I called the main office in Dallas and a lady said we bought a one time shot and that we'd have to pay more for them to come out again. I don't think so. She said Later in the same conversation that I had a TWO week warranty. Then , she said I had a 30 DAY warranty!!! Either way, I still have cockroaches, they have tons of my money and she is lying about my warranty. They guy told my husband if we see more roaches, we have to wait 90 days. She lied!!!! Plus, why would I pay a company that can't kill a few cockroaches more money to not kill one more cockroach! I know it sounds petty to worry about a few little bugs, but if they can't kill a few, how do you expect them to kill a lot We got ripped off. Careless and destructive, are the words to describe Woodlands Escapes. They killed at least five of…read moremy plants and destroyed a planter, broke my fence gate and ruined my lawn. They pruned two more plants which I had explicitly said to leave alone, in writing. Pruning where they were actually meant to was lazy, often only touching one side of plants and forgetting about the rest. They deliberately killed a huge patch of some of my healthiest grass. When I asked Leo about it, he said he the workers thought the grass was a patch of weeds. I cannot fathom how a lawn care company can mistake a healthy lawn, which looked just like the rest of my lawn except thicker, for a patch of weeds. One week I came home to find one of the hinges to my fence gate ripped apart. Apparently I had forgotten to unlock the gate, and so they broke their way in. Since they never said anything about it, I only know what happened because of security camera footage. I talked to Leo about it and he promised to have it fixed by the end of the week. That was nine months ago now. My grave mistake was talking to him on the phone rather than getting the promise in writing. Luckily I was able to repair or replace most of the damage after firing them. Before all the damage had been done, we had wanted to improve water drainage and asked Woodlands Escapes for a quote, as well as two other companies. Through another company, we were able to have the work scouted and completed before Donna even responded to my email. Even worse, she quoted me at almost three times more than the actual work was done for. On top of all this, Donna is an absolute nightmare to attempt to communicate with. She doesn't listen, never responds in a timely manner, treated me rudely and constantly got confused about what we were even talking about. She made it very difficult to cancel service, but doing so was a fantastic decision. I would never advise working with Leo or his companies again, and have warned everyone I know against them as well.
