Doctors' schedules are very compressed these days by insurance requirements and institutional demands, but Dr. Walters goes out of his way to be clear, caring. and react as if I'm one of just a few patients he's seeing today.

Y'all... what even was that?…read more We came in at noon on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend for a simple TB blood draw. The visit actually started off fine we saw the MA, saw the doctor, and were told they were putting us in and to wait to be called back for labs. After watching three patients go ahead of us and waiting about 40 minutes, we decided to double check our check in. Turns out we weren't even in the system correctly and had somehow been labeled as a completely different patient. Then two MAs then pulled us from the waiting room and took us back to an exam room. One of them rushed in saying, "I'll just draw you myself! you came in for a TB test, right? Okay, I'll be right back!" She never came back... Instead, we sat there even longer while overhearing them in the back office saying things like, "I have no clue where my doctor is." At that point, my husband went to the front desk because we had already been there nearly two hours for what should've been a simple lab draw. That's when we were finally told: "Oh yeah... so your labs need to be sent off, and we already did our last pickup before lunch, so we can't do them till Tuesday." So after almost two hours of waiting, confusion, and being mislabeled in the system, we left without even getting the test done. Both my husband and I are in the medical field, and I understand that healthcare gets busy and things happen. But the lack of communication and organization here was honestly unbelievable, especially in such a small office. A situation like this could've been communicated to us much earlier and saved everyone a lot of wasted time.

I did research other foot & ankle specialists, but this was my best option from what I read. If you are a new patient make sure to have the paperwork filled out to save you time! The check in process was quick, once i turned in all of my paperwork. My foot & ankle specialist Dr. Nima Sana was super informative and detailed! He not only checked my right ankle for the injury from the MRI results, but he clearly explained other issues or symptoms that could have arisen from my injury. Luckily my injury is not severe and did not require a hard boot or surgery. I was able to get fitted in an ankle sock brace that laces up to support my ankle and self heal. I did make a follow up appointment to see how the ankle sock brace works! Great service with caring individuals! Now let the process of the healing begin!

The doctor entered the room and immediately began pitching his services--essentially suggesting that I come in once a month so he could trim all my nails for me; from what I gathered, it was something akin to a pedicure. I replied that I was accustomed to taking care of my own nails and had been doing so my entire life. At that point, the doctor grabbed a pair of clippers and began rapidly snipping off all my toenails, one after another, on both feet. I started screaming in pain, but he carried on as if he couldn't hear me. I was seated in a specialized chair with my feet elevated off the floor, leaving me with no way to jump up and get away. In short, this entire "procedure" ended with me not only enduring severe pain but also bleeding from three of my toes. He attempted to stop the bleeding and, in a rather haphazard manner, patched up the injured toes with gauze and Band-Aids. I barely managed to make it home and lay down for several hours until the bleeding finally stopped completely. It took another few days before I could walk without feeling pain in my injured toes. Yet even now--twenty days later--my toes still hurt when I walk. That is the kind of doctor we have in our town. Feel free to go visit him yourself.

Who knew he was one of the valley's most eminent surgeons? He was personable, friendly and talked her through everything...and he also addressed concerns I had for her as well. He even pointed out where her previous doctor had gone wrong in his initial diagnosis! Post surgery care has been wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor for her. She was even up and walking in under 8 hours, which she is supposed to be doing. It was painful for her to get out of bed, but once she got on her feet she was good to go - which is always good news. When she had her first surgery done back in Oregon, it took her 2 days to get walking or feel anything in her legs. As a former healthcare worker (hello, UCSF!), I called my old contacts and they reassured me that he was the best you can find in the valley. Dr McLean's office is located in Scottsdale and is easy to find...I'd recommend him.

I wouldn't even vote for this guy for local dog catcher.
