That said, I would like to commend Dr Hua. He has been my dentist for the last few years, and while I expect that I will never again find a dentist as cheap as my previous one, I haven't felt that Dr Hua or Brentwood Dental has over-charged me in any of my visits. I don't carry any dental insurance, so I must admit that I do tend to only visit the dentist only when I can no longer avoid it. Most recently, I visited Dr Hua for the extraction of two wisdom teeth. The initial consultation included a 3d x-ray and a very clear explanation of what was needing to happen, and the range of what it would cost. One of them had disintegrated and I knew that I could not prolong dealing with them any longer. The procedure took under an hour and I wasn't even aware that Dr Hua was wrapping up, he was that smooth. It was as painless as can be expected for local anesthetic, I have no doubts about the quality of work and, happily, came in at the low end of the cost estimation. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Brentwood Dental, assuming that all the dentists there are of equal quality to Dr Hua.

From the moment you check in, the staff are extremely friendly, kind and personable while being professional. The hygienist I saw was Natasha and not only was she super sweet and kind, she was full of helpful suggestions such as how to floss properly (she demonstrated it while I held a mirror so I could see). The dentist I saw is Dr. Shivji (junior). You can tell that he is confident in what he does and has great knowledge. Not only is her super personable but he is honest- he will not recommend getting things done that you don't really need just to make more money for the business (as I have experienced at other dental offices in the past). I get anxious about feeling anything when getting fillings and he was very gentle and reassuring, always checking to make sure I was doing ok. I trust him to give me good dental advice. Again, I cannot say enough good things about everyone working at Alpha Dental and my only regret is not being a patient here sooner.

The problem was that it was a filling on a baby tooth with no adult tooth to replace it (surely a byproduct of inbreeding). I gave the office a call, they worked around my schedule, staying late at work so that they could see me that very day. Ah-may-zing. Within 30 mins --if that-- my snaggly-crumbly tooth was transformed into a brand spanking new, full tooth. Insane. So smooth, so perfect. Chewing was/is basically euphoric. I don't know how they did that so quickly and perfectly but basically I'm happily indebted to them for saving me from needing to poke out my eye and purchase a parrot. Yes, I believe that if it is fillings on those molars and re cementation of that crown that came off, then it will likely be within that $1000 limit. If you do require a new crown by chance, however, that is not usually a covered service by the disability coverage. You tell me - looks like deception to me.

I only come to this office as it is close to my work) I have been coming to this dentist for the past 7 years and I had enough! 1. My appointment was at 1:40 but I didn't see the Dr until 2:20. I have a 4 month old baby at home waiting for me at home and had arranged for someone to look after him. Time is money and I felt it was a waste of my time and money to come in and not get my treatment done. 2. I came specifically to have filling done and I have an email confirmation that I didn't need consultation for the splint nor did I want any other consultation. 3. I said specifically to the assistant that I don't need a consultation as well as to the doc that I didn't need one. Almost every time I go in someone is measuring the movement of my molars and the gum tissue! ( why am I paying for this?)Then I was told I need a night guard which was just pushed on to me and you tried to charge me for it right away! $450. I said no as I don't want to pay for something that just recommended. It's not something I need! I told this office and many of u that my gums and teeth have been the same for over 20 years! And my previous visit showed that there hasn't been any change from previous X-rays! 4. As for the filling .. this was not done because the doctor said it was too much going on to have filling done and mouth guard . He said it best to have mouth guard done first as the filling can wait. What!?!? Shouldn't filling be done first then a custom mouth guard? What if the filling is fill different from what was there and mouth guard doesn't fit? 4. Then I am charged $107 for a consultation that was not welcomed nor asked for. If my insurance doesn't pay for it then a reimbursement will be asked for any amount not covered by insurance. I wasn't even advised of any fee before hand. 5. I am so upset about this ordeal that I thinking to report this incident to the dental association.
