I had a fantastic experience with my instructor Cathy but I did not have a great experience scheduling. I called and made an appointment for two weeks in advance. I got a call a few days before to confirm, and then 20 minutes before the lesson to confirm. Then, at the time of the lesson, the instructor called to tell me that while he was close by to the pickup location, he had something else to do in Edison and wouldn't be able to do the lesson. The scheduling person called me to reschedule the lesson, which I did for a few days later. Then the next day I got a text asking me to move the lesson again. Ultimately once I got a lesson, I was paired with Cathy who is the best driving instructor I have ever had. She was so clear with her instructions and patient. I already have my license but needed practice on the highway, so we did a 1 hr 45 min lesson for highway practice. My recommendation if you schedule a class here is to take whatever time they tell you as an estimate, and to ask to schedule with Cathy because she is fantastic! read more

Amin Driving is the BEST, passed yesterday at Rahway first time. I took the first few lessons with Raul and he was awesome. Then for my final lesson and for the road test Celina was available and she was my driving instructor. Amazing help from Celina, so many tips and hints. I was nervous going for the test at Rahway but she was able to help me with my Parallel Parking even further. Today I bath at 6:00 AM wore cleaned T-shirt/Track Pant and wore Victoria Secret Perfume(10-12 spray). The only mistake I did is that, I complained to the AMIN DRIVING instructor that the steering wheel of the car was too tight to rotate and since I am a beginner I am not comfortable taking the exam with this car. So the next Amit Driving instructor came and took me in another car and started insulting me by telling me that I should use more perfume since there is bad smell coming from me(Amin sir, i was standing in hot sun while another instructor was training other guys in the car) but still there was no smell coming from me since I asked when got home to my wife and he was making lot of unwanted gesture. I could have returned him the favour but I don't wanted to stoop to his level and obviously it upset me and I failed the exam because the MV instructor was telling me to take right and I took left since my mind was stressed and occupied but I did well parallel parking and K-TURN and Reverse. So I will attribute my failure to AMIN. And good thing is I took most of my practice session from someother guy only one with Amin. Ofcourse No money for guessing I won't go with them again!!!! read more

As a student seeking support to clear the driving test, I expected some useful tips and proper feedback from the trainer. I'm on the fence with this place. One one hand the instructor gave me useful tips for the road test. On the other hand he kept cutting the lessons short by AT LEAST 15 minutes, his instructions were NOT clear, he'd yell at me, was on his phone constantly, would ask me to stop the car so he could do errands. You put an Asian girl, a Spanish lady and a huge language barrier behind the wheel in the city and what do you get? A car ... in flames. But thankfully none of that happened so I kissed the ground when I got out of the car but I sure felt like I was going to crash every 5 minutes while driving. The driving instructor was okay. She didn't do much teaching, it was more like "winging it". She went on her phone twice and mentioned about me paying her an hour before my lesson ended. Not very professional. Plus, the big language barrier didn't help either. I'd have to ask her where she wanted me to drive and sometimes I'd hear the wrong thing. It seems like a small problem but it's a big deal when you're driving, especially on the highway and for the first time nonetheless. On the bright side, she was very patient and encouraging especially when I got really nervous. You can call and ask which instructors teach on what day and see who is the best teacher for you. Called them 7 days back and they got quoted me $90 price for 1 h 45 min lesson , suddenly they changed the price to $95 when you book an appointment now without notifying their customers. I just had a two hours lesson -- basically to get familiar with the car I was taking for the exam the next day. Joe is a really great instructor. He pointed out a few things I would have missed in the exam. The exam went very smooth. p.s. I am not an experienced driver. I learned how to drive using the services of another driving school (Amar), which in terms of professionalism sucked badly. I had arranged with the other school to go to the test but somehow they cancelled it the day before my test... Really great experience, I scheduled a 2 hour driving lesson and the road test, with an additional 1 hour session. The driving lesson was competitively priced and I felt really confident with the technical pieces (parallel parking, etc.) afterwards. The owner, Jose, took me for my road test and he was AMAZING! Super friendly, had me run the 'course' a few times first and gave me a lot of great pointers for the test so I was 110% ready, and I passed the test on my first try. Additionally they are great with communication and clarity, Alandra in the 'office' is awesome. THE CAR WAS UNSAFE!!! 1. The car was in unsafe condition. It made a loud noise that sounded like the transmission was slipping. Additionally, the brakes did not work properly. I passed the road test on my very first attempt, because although I was nervous the entire procedure was taught very nicely, in a step-by-step manner. I had maria as my teacher and she was on her phone 50 percent of the time and the othet 50 per she was filling out papers and organising them while I was driving ...I was left to figure things out on the road in horrible scary traffic....maria was extremelly rude to me while I was in traffic... she is not fit to be an driving instructor. .... Had 3 lessons with them. It was good, though last session was taken by Joe, he was good, but was not good in explaining the parallel parking and also waste lot of timing in talking. It is the worst Driving School, no proper management. If you book your class for 8am, the driver will call you at 7am and will try to convince you to do the class. It's so refreshing to find a school with capable and friendly staff. The booking person was friendly and tried to accommodate my busy schedule. I had orlando and he was very impatient and rude . He had a heavy accent. He was always on the phone and took me to a shop so he can get his food. I felt like i was driving around and not learning how to park every time i try turning he would yell at me and say your doing it wrong overall i thought it was a waste of money . Lost my confidence for a while after my practice . Idk why people say he is good he really is not we payed money for good training rather getting yelled at over and over . I had two very nice instructors there: Joe and Jose. They both prepared me very well and I passed the road test. They were really committed into it, professional and decent. Always on time. I highly recommend them, in contrast with Ideal Driving School, which gave me hard times. I took three classes with them and every time either the instructor was late or they finished early, so it was never really two full hours. They totally unprofessional, once I waited for an hour and half to get the instructor pick me up. Nobody called me and notify of the delay. read more
