As soon as you walk in, you have a sense that this is a locals hangout (which is always a good sign). After being seated and reviewing the menu, our eyes gravitated toward the fajitas. And since we were in the mood to sample a variety of flavors, my wife and I ordered the Fajitas Combo for 2 ... with a slight variation. They have a Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp combination on the menu, but we asked if we could substitute the Pork for the Chicken ... and it was not a problem. After waiting for a short period of time, our sizzling plate of food arrived and it looked fantastic! After sampling all the meats, I am happy to report that they all were quite good. incredible food, the tacos were very very juicy and just delicious. all the salsa options were great and the pork enchiladas melted in my mouth, personally it was the best enchiladas i've had. even loved the margarita and i'm usually not a huge fan but it was perfect. overall everything was good even the rice. very pleased we will be back. read more

I can only say wow! I have been searching for a really good Mexican restaurant that serves huevos rancheros that was not generic. This amazing little restaurant had the best food I have had in many, many years. When you walk in, I was stunned at how cool it is. They have got a really nice bar and on top of that bar they have I can't even count how many bottles of hot sauce. But when they brought the chips and salsa out they bring three types of salsa. Green, a red sauce and absolutely amazing pico de gallo. It is by far the best pico de gallo I have ever had and I make it myself and I could never match this. It's absolutely perfect. The chips are freshly made. They were crunchy and warm and perfect. The restaurant is immaculately clean, the service is spectacular. This will be my new go to restaurant when I want homemade, fresh and tasty Mexican food. You can't go wrong here. It's absolutely amazing. I wish I could give it 50 stars read more

Went on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was empty except for 2 small tables. I ordered a combination plate. Chimichanga, enchilada, and burrito. The dish was $20. As it arrived at the table, I was utterly disappointed. The food portions were tiny. The chimichanga was comically small, maybe 2 x 3 inches. I finished the meal and was still hungry. Even with a fairly empty restaurant, the service was very slow, and the servers were bland. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant. read more

We have dined at Amigos several times and enjoyed the food. However, on the last visit the food was not as well prepared as before. This time the chicken was very dry, over cooked and tasteless. Too much sauce and cheese poured over my food. The service was professional and attentive which was the bright spot . I just wish the food had been a lot better. Coming from Los Angeles, we are used to having many Mexican restaurants at our disposal. Finally we found a place that's pretty decent. They don't have a full bar, so we were stuck with wine margaritas which were tasty, but I didn't really feel any kind of a bang from the drink. Maybe they didn't use enough wine. I thought the chips and salsa were especially good, although charging for a refill of those seems fairly greedy. My chicken enchiladas were plump with chicken which was really a surprise, because many restaurants are anemic with the portion of protein that they provide. I loved the atmosphere here, it's very cozy and authentic. I felt like I was in the womb of Mexico. We will go back again and try some other things, I wish they had bells on the door instead of that annoying ringing sound. We had made reservations because a family member that lives in the area highly recommended Amigos. Spanish food is one of my favorites so I was really excited and had high anticipation. Maybe that is why I was so disappointed. The atmosphere is great, small not to loud and full of authentic Spanish decor. The food however left me baffled. Amigo's has become our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. We have been frequenting this family establishment since 2009 and have never been disappointed. In high season, the service can be slower, but that is because the cooks and the service attendants are so busy serving the customers. In high season, I call right at noon for evening reservations and usually are able to get a table. If you are a walk-in, don't be shy. Most of the workers are primarily Spanish speakers, so they may not come up to you--but if you want authentic Mexican...this is the place to go!! I typically order the enchiladas verdes. I'm not sure if they are actually on the menu, but they make them! Our friends like their fajitas (and I had them two nights ago...very good), and my husband loves their combo platters. My wife and I went to Amigo's Mexican Cafe yesterday around 6:15. We entered and stood in the doorway for about 5 minutes. We noticed an empty booth. A young woman told three women sitting at a table near us to go to the booth. Then we stood in side the entrance for another 10 minutes. No one greeted us or told us there would be a wait. Nothing. We were totally ignored, so we turned around and left. We will never go back and will tell our friends what happened. There is no excuse for this behavior. We're very disappointed because this was not the first time we had gone to this restaurant. Management needs to train their help to respect their patrons, not to ignore them. This small place in a small strip mall is authentic. Good Mexican food. Their lunch menu has smaller portioned meals, perfect to not put you into that food comma that can ruin your afternoon. Quick friendly service. Small bowl of chips fried in house, 2 sauces and a pico are complimentary. Unlike most small places in Naples they have a couple IPA's. The refried beans are like I have when I'm in Mexican owned restaurants in SA, LV, TC and Yakima.(that's San Antonio, Las Vegas, Traverse City and Yakima WA.
